The Naperville Park District, created in 1966, is an independent municipal agency serving a community of 140,000+ residents. As a leader in providing leisure experiences that enhance the quality of life for the community, the District maintains and operates more than 2,500 acres overall comprised of more than 130 parks and facilities and serves approximately 60,000 participants each year through more than 900 recreational, sports arts and environmental programs and events for all ages. A variety of seasonal camps for kids in preschool through high school also are offered.
Included within the District?s operations are two championship golf courses, a multitude of baseball, basketball, and tennis courts, sports fields, two inline skating and skateboarding facilities, the unique Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower, a paddleboat quarry, an historic outdoor aquatic facility, and the crown jewel of Naperville, the beautiful Riverwalk - a pathway that stretches throughout the downtown area.
The District publishes quarterly Program Guides for residents to promote all of the programs, services and events that are offered year-round.
