I am in love with this place! We were in Newport from out of state and took a gamble on a place to eat and hit gold! The restaurant is so charming inside. Low lights with a touch of twinkle lights. The creamy cilantro dressing was delicious! We had a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and a combination and they were all delicious!!! Honestly the best I've had in a long time!! The food came quick, the staff was so kind and attentive and kept my drink full! They even gave us the remote and let us put the tv's on 3 different things to keep everyone happy! If we lived nearby I would be a regular customer! Next time I'm in Newport I know where I'll be eating! more

Great Pizza, great service! 12/9/2011

My husband and I live a few blocks from Napa Valley Pizza and have never eaten there before. We decided to dine in one night. The restaurant is so cute and cozy. The new owners are very nice and made a lot of great recommendations on the food. We started with the Risotto Croquettes and ordered the spinach and feta pizza, both were very good. Pros: null Cons: null more

New owners cutting corners 9/10/2010

My wife and I are regulars at Napa. This was "our place" where we could sit down and our waitress already knew what beers to bring us without asking. They are now under new ownership and as a result things have changed for the worse. It makes me sad. The portions have gotten much smaller, but the price has stayed the same. Even the wait staff is not happy about losing their regulars. The pizza has always been known for the amazing amounts of cheese and good dough. No more. The pizza now has barely any cheese or sauce, and they are stingy with the toppings. The crust was reminiscent of Digiorno and the antipasto is at least a 1/3 less in size which is a total change from just two weeks ago. We said goodbye to our waitress tonight. We are sad because although this place was never cheap we had no problem paying the prices because it was a cool local joint with good food and a great staff but we refuse to spend the same amount of money for smaller amounts of inferior quality food. We are searching for our new place. more

Our waiter was excellent! Pros: Small, casual, intimate, delicious food Cons: no drawbacks more

good pizza 6/2/2008

I like the small quaint atmosphere of napa valley. The staff is very friendly. This pizza joint feels like a locals hangout but everyone is welcome. more

Pizza awesome! 5/5/2008

I have been here many times since it is close to my house. I generally get the pizza since it has a tasty crust, and the choices of pizza are yummy. I have had the feta cheese and spinich, barbeque chicken, and the atrichoke and chese - all good. The fried calamari is tender, and serves with slices of lemon and a cocktail sauce - melts in your mouth. Desert is good too. Chocolate layer cake, Tiramisu, Carrot cake finish it off. Pros: Tasty food, good portions, outside dinning Cons: Service so-so more

Food might have been good...If we ever got it 3/22/2008

My husband took me to the restaurant after a hard day thinking the small family restaurant would be a good retreat. We got to the restaurant around 8:30, ordered our drinks and appetizer, about 5 minutes later we ordered our food, a pizza and chicken parmigiana. While we're waiting we hear the manager tell the table next to us that the kitchen was backed up and she didn't get to put their order in right away (there are maybe 10 tables in the whole place) so it was going to be another 20 minutes before they would get their pizza. They had already finished their appetizers. About 20 minutes later, a really bad waitress brings us a pizza that looks similar to what my husband ordered. She scoops up a slice and serves it to him and he doesn't realize until after the first bite that it wasn't his. Turns out, after she gets back to the counter and wonders why I don't have any food that she figured out it was the pizza for the poor couple sitting next to us. So, they come apologize AGAIN and say it will be another 20 minutes to make their 8" pizza. They are more than understanding. We get told the pizza would be free which I hope since it wasn't our pizza to begin with. My husband eats his slice and we continue talking. About half an hour later, our waiter apologizes for the delay and says he just checked and our food should be up any minute... a bell rings. He brings out a pizza only that is wrong again. He goes to check what happened and we had to ask where my food was. He says the kitchen never got the ticket. There was not a single attempt to make it right, we got our 2 wrong pizzas free but still payed for our appetizers and drinks which I barely wanted to do. I left almost 2 hours later with no food and hungry. I don't know about you but the guy who thought it was a good idea to leave the pregnant lady hungry didn't really think about it. If I wasn't so tired it would not have been pretty. Pros: Cute little place Cons: Horrible Service, Kitchen staff goofs around outside while people wait for food more
