I have been a customer of the Marathon FL., location for the past 10 years. I have a commercial fishing business, I own 2 commercial fishing vessels, which, I purchase most of the parts needed for repairs/ maintenance. I also, own 3 motorcycles, 2 trucks, and 4 jetskis.
Also, I am the proud father of 3 children in college that always seem to bring their cars home with a problem!
The reason for this letter, is about my experience when I contact the store for information, or I go to the location: I feel the Owner, Richard, is very demeaning, and is not helpful.
I called the store asking for wheel barrings, before I could complete my order for rare bearings, he was quoting me on the front bearings. I told him i did not finish my order. He started yelling at me saying " You did not Tell the rear barring!!! I said: You never gave me a chance, you set down the phone and walked away. Then, he went back and checked and said : Yes, I have the Rear Barrings. This was on Saturday afternoon.
So, I went to pick up the Rear Barrings on Sunday Morning, He did not a set after all, he had only one bearing, and 2 bearing cups. I purchased what he had, and he told me he would order the 2nd bearing on Monday, and it would be here Tuesday. When I stopped at the repair shop fixing my truck on Monday to tell the bearings will be in on Tuesday, the mechanic stated that my bearings where not bad after all, I went to Napa on Monday morning to return the parts purchased and to cancel the order I placed with Richard. Monday is the day he was ordering the STOCK parts.
When I went to return the parts with my receipt. Richard started raising his voice in front of other customers and employees that I WASTED his time. That I should have checked on the bearing before I wasted his time. Then, stated that there is a 20% restocking fee and would not give the full refund. He then took the receipt and charged me the 20% and would not give me a receipt. There is nothing telling me I would have to pay a restocking fee on "stock" parts.
