Nanking

Actually had the pleasure of trying both Nanking locations about a week apart, lol. I liked this one a bit more than the one in Manhattan because the prices were lower, but the food was pretty much great in both places. We really liked the ambiance, the crowd was very cool and trendy, and the service was extremely fast and reliable. Had a great time here, I don't know of any better restaurants in New Hyde Park for these prices, honestly. more

Great crowd at this place, and the restaurant itself looks amazing when you enter. they really got the decor down, it seems to create the perfect vibe. Some of the dishes I got were too spicy, but you can ask for less spice if you want (which I failed to do like an idiot, lol). Amazin beef dishes. And if you into vegetarian, they have some really good options for that as well. Fun time here, and also very good for a date more

The decor and excellent waiting staff here really set up a perfect atmosphere. The salmon and chicken dishes were something else, I can't even describe some of the things that were in there, but whatever it was, kudos to the chef because everything was so tasty! more

I loved this place! The chili paneer was absolutely out of this world! I don't know what cheese they put in there, but I have to give kudos to the chef on that one. They have amazing tofu, and all the vegetables they served were super fresh and came with a delicious sauce. Really impressive vegetarian menu, I have to say. \r \r They also have these delcious drinks called ""mocktails"" which are like smoothes that combine a bunch of fruits and are served chilled. The tropical triangle, I think that's what its called, is probably the best one. \r \r They also have some fine desserts. I dont remember what I got, but it was something with ice cream and I loved it!\r \r There's also a nice full bar here, and they have tables that can support a party with a lot of people. The service is excellent here so I have no doubt they would do a good job with a large group of people. \r \r Pros: beautiful setup, delicious vegetarian, great atmosphere more

Food: Delicious. The chicken and curry dishes were very impressive, the salads (duck salad!) was great, and the desserts were very tasty as well. Service: Excellent service, never had to wait to long for a waiter, they were very respectful and attentive. Decor: Very nice, statues inside, nice walls and paintings, dim lighting. Drinks: They pour with a heavy hand and have excellent wine and mixed drinks. Noise level: A bit noisy on a crowded night, but excellent nonetheless, especially for a date when you are trying to get to know someone and don't want to much silence. Overall: Loved it! Pros: Great food, excellent service, nice decor, good drinks Cons: A bit noisy on crowded nights more
