Naked Fish

I am a fan of Naked fish and have had great food and service at frammingham and waltham locations. This was my first time in Billerica, and it seemed like this place was being run by a bunch of show clowns. It started the minute we walked in and there was no host at the counter, we waited about 5 minutes just to meet the host and be seated. The restaraunt was 80% open, it was dead. My and my girlfriend sat down and waited 15 minutes for bread!! We finally order, Some appetizers, soup and Surf and Turf with 2 sides and she orders cod. about 20-25 minutes later they bring me a trout!!!! Cons: alot more

First of all, its not a CUBAN restaurant. It's a seafood restaurant with influences from Latin American countries. Second of all, they have some of the best ribs I have ever tasted in my life. The garlic mashed potatos are delicious. The rolls are awesome as well, especially when they are fresh out of the oven. The baked haddock is perfect as well, and the crab cakes are superb. For all the people that would like to have a great night out, NakedFish would be a great place to go! The Framingham location has great a great staff who are all willing to help. If you have a question about the menu or anything and can't find your server, flag down someone else and they will be glad to answer your questions. Framingham will also split your check and takes reservations. The Waltham location has some of the best decor I have ever seen, and also takes reservations. Call ahead seating is probably a good idea for a Friday or Saturday night if you don't have a reservation. To the people that gave it a bad review, go try it again at a different location. I am a Cuban and this is not Cuban food! This is a very poor excuse for a restaurant. I didn't see one authentic Cuban dish in the place. My family and I couldn't finish any of our dishes. The food and drinks were good. Not very group friendly though. I do a lot of traveling and rarely run across restaurants that won't run seperate checks for corporate travellers. The server really had an attitude. Having a n angry server when you eat most of your meals in restaurants can really put you off your meal. I love the Naked Fish in Billerica. The restaurant was highly recomended by the Hampton Inn next door. I was new to town and wanted a great meal. . The hosts were lovely. I was greated by three huge smiles. I told the host's I was a party of one, they informed me that there was a 15 minute wait, but the lounge had no wait and tables available if I wanted. They gave me a pager, I went to the lounge had a drink and 10 minutes later went to the dining room to a huge booth and one of the best servers I ever had...(ask for Karen). I asked and Karen told me that they have many single diners due to all the businesses in the area...what a great restaurant. I went to the Naked Fish tonight and I loved itl. I travel lot on business and eat alone . Most restaurants make you feel very uncomfortable . The hosts were very pleasant and told me there was about a 20 minute wait , but if I prefered the bar/lounge it was the same menu and no wait. I chose to wait for the dining room but went to the bar for a drink to wait. The bartenders could not have more friendly. I was paged for my table 15 minutes after I walked in. I was sat at a ""BOOTH"" , in all my travels I have never been to a restaurant that would seat one person at a booth. Naked Fish keep,doing what your doing . I show up at Naked Fish by myself and expect the hostess to take my name, maybe have a 10 minute wait, and be served to a nice dinner. Fine. Instead, the hostess informs me, ""We don't serve parties of one in our dining room."" Huh?!?! ""You HAVE to eat in the Lounge."" Huh?!?! Bewildered, I strolled into a crowded lounge with uncomfortable looking high tables with stools, and a crowed bar of drinking folks. I wasn't about to be discriminated against for my ""single partiedness"" nor be forced to eat in an ugly lounge which is not my scene. I walked out before I even sat down. It was a Friday night, after work crowd at the Naked Fish in Burlington. Since they didn't take reservations we waited about a 10 minutes for a table, not bad. The seats we were shown were next to a bus station, I requested another table and granted it, Thanks! The service was amazing. Water with a bread basket right when we sat down.Full menus with Specials highlighted.For an appetizer I recommend the popcorn shrimp.The cajun sauce was spicey but not over done. The Coconut Haddock couldn't have been better, accompanied with grilled brocolli and asparugus.Both grilled to perfection.After the meal I didn't have to go looking for my waitress for the bill and wasn't at all rushed, the timing was perfect. Then I got the best news of the night,the bill. With drinks included it was less than 70.00 bucks..Happy Happy, Joy Joy. I'll be back many times.
