Horrendous treatment 3/28/2019

Unfortunately, I am in doctors' offices far too often for various issues. I have never, ever seen anything so appalling as how this man runs his business. Today's visit was the last, for sure. After being shown into a room, he hands me a piece of paper that says "How can we help you today?" and leaves. I briefly jot why I am there and leave it, as requested on the outside of the door. He picks it up after 30 minutes and leaves. Comes back later with scribbles on there as responses to what I wrote. As he is leaving again, he says, please write your answers to my notes. I then say, "Excuse me, Dr...can we talk?" "No. I don't talk to patients anymore. Only in written form." This is the same office that no longer answers the phones. They promise to call you back within 24 hours. Really? I left 9 voicemails one week. And you rarely see him, only 25 year-old assistants who read your MRI results to you. If you have any questions, they shuttle back and forth to his office for answers. Each and every time "Do you want morphine?" Once in a while, he'll show up and say "I'll be right back" and never does. He gave me an injection on my second visit and screamed at the techs and told them to get the .. out of the room. I came recommended by one of his patients who he has known for many years, yet every time, he looked at me like a total stranger. "Have we met?" I get it. Too many patients to remember, but I have never experienced such rudeness and incompetence. Stay away. Far, far away. There are so many fantastic pain management doctors out there. more

One of the best doctor's office experiences I've ever had! The wait time was very short and after meeting Dr. Schottenstein, I felt like he knew exactly what to do to help me and my pain. He listened to my story and helped choose what was best for me. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he is also very compassionate and funny. The staff was excellent- super friendly and very well informed. I will definitely recommend Dr. Schottenstein to all my family and friends. more

happy 10/19/2015

I had a really pleasant visit with Dr. Schottenstein! My previous doctor didn't even take time to listen to my concerns. Dr. Schottenstein took his time to listen to me and explain everything. I had a thorough exam and then a procedure the same day because I was in so much pain. I am very happy that I found him! Highly recommend! more

I have been seeing Dr. Schottenstein for a few years now and I can't tell you how much he has changed my life. I have seen a lot of doctors and he is definitely worth seeing. He's the first person I see whenever I need an injection or just medical advice. Definitely recommend him more

Definitely Recommended 12/11/2013

I've had low back pain for several years and even after seeing several doctors and trying physical therapy and acupuncture and seeing chiropractors, I still continued to have chronic low back pain...at least until I saw Dr. Schottestein, who is a god send! I've been back pain free since he gave me an injection a few months ago. The staff is also extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend him to anyone in pain! more
