This is PIZZA! 1/7/2012

Stopped by here on a rainy day after shopping at Carolina Pottery. Getting drenched was worth it. This is the best pizza I've had since leaving Baltimore 6 months ago. The young man at the counter was courteous, the slice was huge, and the flavor was absolutely wonderful! My only complaint? I just wish this pizza place was closer to my house! You guys aren't planning on opening a pizzeria in Moore County, NC anytime sooner, were you? more

Owner response to the previus post 5/21/2011

I think you got us confused with one of our copycat competitors, we were never opened till 11:00pm, we never delivered downtown Raleigh and we are definitely still the same family that started this business, furthermore none of my Managers would ever tell a customer to go ""pound salt"". Please check your information before posting a negative review, and I would appreciate it if you would remove it. more

delivery and hours at their conveince, not yours 5/3/2011

called for a delivery at 8:30, told me they closed at 9, when they were family owned they were open till 11 every night and they would deliver to downtown Raleigh. Wow! Not anymore!! I offered the driver $20 tip to cruise down 540 to mini city(a 15 minute delivery) and his boss told me to go pound salt. This was a place 10 years ago if you called and the phone was busy they would call you back in a minute and want your order and deliver. Wow, what a difference. I guess i will have to continue making my own pizzas, but like tonight, it would be nice to have old fashioned NY delivery. more

The best pizza 4/5/2011

I am from NY. Hands down, the best pizza since home. Yes, there are teenie boppers working. They do give excellent customer serivce and are very funny. Thank you and I can't wait to get more punches in my card for a free pie more

Horrendous Service with Immature Teenie Boppers 9/25/2010

Good pizza, although not as good as their competitor's, Randy's Pizza. The main issue with this location, as it has been for years, is it is very poorly managed. Whoever the owner/manager is, must really enjoy seeing immature kids act completely unprofessional, chewing gum, using cell phones, being rude and basically half paying attention to customers both when you call in an order or, there, in person. They botched two pizza orders for us, back to back. more

ny pizza 9/10/2009

I just ordered some calzones and stromboli and when they got here they were really tiny. I called and the manager on duty was awesome and very pleasant. He took care of me and made me feel better and actually changed my view and I will go back again. Overall I now look forward to my next experience. Pros: Management is Spectacular!!! Cons: Sizes are small more

The Real New York Pizza 3/20/2009

Can't put my finger on it the cheese taste better, the sauce taste better, the crust better, My family loves it. worth the trip. Pros: quality, taste, value and authentic taste more

Best I've found 1/30/2009

I was born and raised in NY and have been in NC for 13 years now. This is the best Pizza I've had outside of NY and definitely the best I've had in NC. We searched for years to find a good pizza place and have settled on NY Pizza. We will occasionally stray and try somewhere else and are always disappointed. During my 13 years here I've been a ""regular"" at three of the four location (we've moved around the area a few times) and have eaten at all four. They are all very good.\r \r Not every pizza is perfect but even a bad pie from here is better than a good pie from other places. Pros: EXCELLENT Pizza. reminds me of the places I ate when I was a kid more

Bst Pizza in Cary FOR SURE 9/27/2008

Awesome Pizza! What a refreshing find! A real pizza shop that delivers. Having grown weary of the chain pizza restaurants, I was beginning tht there was no place to get quality pizza in Cary. I happened upon this place and gave it a try. It is fantastic. Genuine fresh ingredients, VERY reasonable prices and home delivery are exactly what they have. All of the items on their menu are excellent. Delivery times can get a bit long at the dinner hour, but knowing that ahead of time, you can order a bit earlier. The staff is generally courteous and pleasant as I have only had one bad encounter with them when trying to phone in an order. They take pride in their quality. I had a burnt pizza delivered one time and the manager was more than accomodating to make it right. If you want a true NY style pizza, this is your only choice in Cary! Pros: Authentic NY Pizza, fresh ingredients, high quality, reasonable prices Cons: sometimes the delivery times are excessive more

Excellent pizza, great customer service and community oriented too 2/9/2008

This is simply GREAT pizza. I've lived in NC all my life, I have no idea how NY pizza should taste, but I do know how THIS pizza tastes and it's simply fabulous. In addition, the folks there help my Boy Scout troop twice a year with excellent discounts when we need to feed a lot of hungry boys in a hurry! I cannot speak highly enough about their excellent pizza and community service back to us. Really a great place. Please give them a try. Five stars is all I could give, but more are appropriate. Pros: GREAT PIZZA more

Best Pizza in NC...ny style 8/31/2007

Moved from Long Island to Fuquay-Varina a few months back.Looking for anything similiar to ny pizza down here. Found it!!!!! Holly Springs Crossings The Original N.Y. Pizza on Holly Springs Rd.Run don't walk hands down this is exactly like the pizza from up North. We had pepperoni(excellent) Mushroom(to die for) and plain cheese pizza all delicious. We also had bread sticks with melted mozzarella and a great dipping marinara sauce. So if you're from anywhere up North and know what great pizza should taste like you'll find it at The Original New York Pizza.Go and try it you won't be disappointed. We won't go anywhere else because we've found the best ... give it a try. Pros: great ny style pizza, plenty of parking more

Best Pizza in the Triangle! 2/9/2007

Best Pizza in the triangle. \r I've searched high and low for great ""N.Y. Style"" Pizza in Raleigh and surrounding areas and so far there aren't many places that come close to the quality pies that NY Pizza makes. The crust is thin but thicker Sicilian crust pies are available as well. The atmosphere is nice and friendly. Every thing about this place screams NY, from the pictures of the twin towers to the Yankees, NY Pizza sets the tone fore a great dinning experience. more

Just ok not NY pizza 8/8/2006

The pizza was mediocre at best. No way is this NY pizza or a NY pizzeria atmosphere. First of all the dough is so very thin as plastic like, over cooked! Where are the specialty pies on display? Eggplant parm, buffalo chicken pizza, salad pizza, Marsala? How can you call this NY pizza when not one person in the place is Italian or speak Italian? Prices....1.99 for a slice of pizza? The most I have ever paid in NY was 1.75. This was a first and last time at this place. No good no good. Pros: Speeding service. They had good table condiments. Garlic, oregano, hot pepper etc. Cons: Pizza is supposed to be the breadwinner of a pizza business. Not good pizza. more

Only one meal... 2/22/2004

If I can eat only one place in town, it would be NY Pizza. These guys make the BEST pizza in town. We don't even compare NY Pizza to other pizza places. My family made a top 10 list of our favorite restaurants. Each of us wrote our list. We all had places like Simpson's, Bloomsbury Bistro, and Nofo on the list, but right at the top of each list was NY Pizza. If you're judging a restaurant on nothing but the quality and taste of the food, NY Pizza wins. Pros: Great food. more

Perfection 12/30/2002

This is te best pizza in Raleigh. I'm from NJ, and true NY style pizza is impossible to find in other areas. This is the only place in Raleigh that has it right on the money! I'm truly impressed. there is no reason to eat pizza anywhere else. Pros: Just like NY/NJ, great price more

Best NY style pizza in Cary 12/6/2002

Best NY style pizza in Cary. Great pizza for take out, however if you're looking for a dining experience, this place doesn't offer much beyond great pizza. more

Real NY style pizza 11/13/2002

Excellent crust, tasty sauce, perfect amount of fresh mozarella cheese. Just as good as getting a slice in NY more

true new york style pizza 11/5/2002

New York pizza offers terrific queens/brooklyn style pizza with a crust that is neither too thick or thin and always done to perfection - their calzones are pretty good too more

The BEST!! 9/24/2002

I have lived in the south for many, many years now -- but have never fogotten the pizza of my childhood. I have never found a place down here that made pizza as I remembered it -- until I ate at New York Pizza. This place is the best (and, please, don't compare it to Lilly's Pizza -- they're two entirely different styles!). Always friendly service, but, more importantly -- the greatest pizza around! more
