N V Ultra Lounge

This is probably the worst bar i have ever been to. First off the servers are slow and lazy they stand around talking amongst themselves and to the bar staff and dont give a f#@* about making any money or waiting on customers. The bartenders are a bit better, but the girls that work there are rough....and did i mention old? There is one guy (bald dude)has always been there when I have come to this bar (which has been less than 10 times and the only reason i went this many times is to meet with friends) and he is the best. He knows how to make every drink that i ask (and they are good)and he is quick and friendly which is always nice. I have seen signs that the bar is under new management but if you ask me it is worse off then it was before. One of my friends was in there one night and one of the owners (i guess some punk kid) was so rude to hime that he left and swore never to go back there. If you are looking for a miserable time and watered down beer (coors light) then this is the place for you. If you are in Normal and looking for a good bar to hang out in go down the street to Maggie Mileys. This place has the most girls per square foot of any bar in town. What do they feed the cocktail waitress staff here? Must be good because the look is hot and the prices are great. I purchased 3 pitchers of Coors Light and a UV Vodka pitcher for $10.50. Eventhough I was wasted I stll managed to hookup with two girls. This is the only bar in Bloomington/Normal like this. The bartenders breath fire! Not a sports bar, a chick bar with coeds from ISU, IWU, Heartland and surrounds. Dress a little better than normal, because the girls were dressed to the max.....I love this place, see me there every Wednesday and Saturday. Walking into NV ultra lounge is almost like walking into a lodge at Lake Tahoe. A second floor part of the bar overlooks the main bar and stage areas. The Wednesday night I went to NV started out casually enough with a few beers with several friends; however, within an hour or so the place filled, first floor, second floor, game room and the sidewalk cafe. Hundreds of Illinois State and Illinois Wesleyan University students pack this place. Great DJ kept the place going until the very end. One more thing, this place sells a Coors Light pitcher of beer for $1.50! No wonder so many students pack this place for cold beer and dancing. Great looking coed dressed to the nines.........I mean the women were everywhere. Six bartenders making drinks at breakneck speed, still took a while to get a drink, but worth the wait. This place also features an upclose stage with live entertainment several nights a week. Food is pretty standard bar fare.
