Absolutely DO NOT do business with Mystique Oil in any way shape or form! Not only do they have dozens of complaints all over the internet, but I had multiple horrible experiences with them mirroring the exact incidences that other people have complained about. They overcharge for ""imaginary work"" they perform...they install parts without owner concent, then send you bills for them...they lie about pricing, parts and boiler servicing. They charged me $160 while I was away at work for changing a $7 filter on my furnace, spending 15 minutes inside!!! They claimed to do a ""full furnace maintenance and cleaning"" yet my father said they had no tools, no vacuums, their truck pulled away within 20 minutes!! I'm having Power Fuels come tomorrow to do a real servicing and inspection and they will be signing affidavits against Mystique Oil if I decide to take this any further. BUYER BEWARE OF MYSTIQUE OIL! HORRIBLE COMPANY AND HORRIBLE REVIEWS EVERYWHERE! more

I called for a quote and they took 2 weeks to call back. Then they pressured me to sign the quote right then and there. When my husband came home he called to explain that we needed more time because it was $7000 and we wanted to be sure. They harrased us telling us we had to pay 20% to back out. It was less than two hours after I signed. We decided to block there number and went with another company that was $1000 less and we couldent be happier. more

Horrendous Communications and Service 1/8/2009

I will never do business with Mystique Oil again.\r \r I had bought heating oil from them before and had no problems. But three days ago, the driver was confused as to which floor (of the three-family home I live in) to deliver to. Instead of confirming with the customer who placed the order, or the individual at the Mystique Oil office who took the order, the driver decided to follow the instructions of my alcoholic neighbor, who told him to pump the oil into the tank of my other irresponsible neighbors, who have been without oil for two months. \r \r So basically, a drunk walked up to the driver, and told him to give $500 worth of oil to a pair of coke fiends, and the driver could not apply some common sense, or just refused to take his job seriously, or make an effort to do it correctly.\r \r This debacle could have been avoided if with a simple phone call. If the driver used his brain, he would of realized that delaying an oil delivery for one day until he, or someone at the office could reach the customer for clarification on the address, would be a better idea then just pumping 200 gallons of oil into whichever tank he guessed was the correct one.\r \r Again, I had purchased oil from them before, and the drivers had no difficulty determining which floor to deliver oil to. But for some reason, this time the office didn't communicate to the driver which floor placed the order. And they didn't think that contacting the customer for further information was worth their time. Again, I had bought heating oil from them before, and of course each time I gave them the address and the floor number. more
