Myra's Pet Salon

I have owned and had dogs groomed my entire life. No pet salon has ever given me the royal treatment as Myra's. My dog loves going. As we all know the experience can be daunting to our pets, you can rest assured that at this salon, your baby is in good hands. The owner has a good heart as she has taken in many orphaned dogs, over the years. My hat is off to a business that cares!! We need more of these. \r \r more

I have used Myra for approximately 18 years. My dogs LOVE Myra. I would never take my dogs to anyone else. I have recommended many people to Myra that have been very happy with her and driven many miles for her service. To me there is no other groomer but Myra. She does her best to get you in when you need and she is always on time. She never over books herself as some of the other do. I know my dogs are well cared for when they are with Myra. Pros: This groomer is perfect in everyway!!!!!!!! more

i have been useing myra for a long time my pets have always looked good and has never had burns on them i have read what two people have wrote and i belive that this is one of the other groomer trying to make myra look bad beacuse of the thing that were put on alcom myra is not kind of person if she did something to a pet she would pay for it it is so sad that someone has to do something like this to make themselfs look good. I took my two dogs to myra's to be groomed and when i got my dogs back that afternoon my dogs were still dirty and smelled like dog! They to had been burned and her explanation was that i was suppost to request a bath, that they didnt bath the animals just because they got a hair cut. And to them being burnt she said "" Well i guess i just got in a hurry and didnt have time to cool my blades. First of all i work too had for my money, for her to just be in a hurry and not do what i asked of her. I wound up paying close to a $400.00 dollar vet bill because of her. And Myra didnt even offer to pay it or to even help! SHe acted careless and as if it wasnt her problem. I do not recommend her to anyone. My animals are like my kids and you just dont treat them like that because you dont have time! more

I must say that I feel it is my duty to report my findings at this \r paticular pet salon.\r I am new to the area and was refered to this place of business by someone that also lives here in the Gardendale community.\r I had taken my little shih-tzu there to be groomed and it was only her \r third time being groomed.\r My son picked her up for me and brought her home since its hard for me \r to drive these days.\r When I got her out of her carrier that she had been carried there in she \r really looked awful!\r First of all, it looked as if she had not had a haircut at all, she still \r had a bad smell to her since she had not been washed in about 6 weeks, her \r toenails had not been cut, and the worse thing of all was that the corner of \r her eye had been cut! Now I understand that mistakes can and will happen, \r but someone should of atleast had the commom courtesy to have told me. \r I ended up with a $105.00 vet bill, and no groomer!\r I am in search of a groomer now, but am very leary of any!\r \r Thank you!\r Cons: No communication, poor service, wasnt very clean more
