I had hardwood floors that were installed by a different clueless contractor (John Meadows). So I hired Mycols to remove the hardwood and install carpet. They did the job but it feels like they left all sorts of debris underneath the carpet that you can feel as you walk on it. They said that the problem was the foundation and that it was not in good shape to lay the carpet on. Well, they are the experts at laying carpet and should be able to recognize an unsuitable foundation when they see one, and at least should have brought it to my attention that it should be leveled before they just slapped some carpet on top of it.\r

Then I hired someone else to reinstall the baseboards and he said that the carpet wasn't even stretched and tacked down properly. In dealing with them, they never stood by their work, or took responsibility for their crappy job. I filed a complaint with the BBB, but haven't heard anything back. I don't know how they got an A+ rating with the BBB, but they were horrible to work with.
