My Lil Tea Party

I was racing across the room so I could get a picture of her and they had her cake on a tea cart up against the wall AND HAD HER FACING THE WALL IN THE CORNER BY HERSELF WHEN THEY STARTED SINGING HAPPY BIRTHDAY. It was so upsetting even one of the helpers looked at my face and said do you want us to sing again. I said YES and can we move the tea cart to the middle of the room where her friends can be around her while we sing instead of putting her in the corner up against the wall?! So they moved her and we sang again.No one even knew where she was.The girls were told after 40 minutes that they had to return the dresses to put their clothes on that they came in when we had an hour left to the party.Some of the parents as well as I asked if the girls could leave the outfits on since we still had 45 minutes left to the party and the owner said absolutely NOt! The girls were really sad and upset. I even asked one of the helpers if we don't take the time to open presents can the girls keep the outfits on and the answer once again was ABSOLUTELY NOT! In fact when I asked if we could skip opening the presents to give the girls more play time.My daughter really wanted to try a different outfit on so my husband asked if the birthday girl could please try another outfit on(remember paying $280 plus $85 for princess = almost $400 to have it THEIR WAY ONLY) WE WERE TOLD ABSOLUTELY NOT and when my father asked her why the owner replied because she has always done it this way and that's the way it is.The girls were really upset. I mean this is what it's all about letting the girls dress up and have fun.From beginning to end you are not allowed to change anything at all or have any say so and the owner who hides in the back is just completely rude and very unprofessional. When we paid the deposit I had asked her if the party was 1hr and 45min or 2 hours. She replied that it usually always runs into 2 hours and its no big deal. Well,it was 1hr and 30 minutes and they were starting to try to pick up and by the time it was 1 hr and 45 minutes they were all but pushing people out of the room. She hadn't said two words to us the entire time So I go pay her and expressed that we were very disappointed and it wasn't worth the money and she replied well I'm sorry to hear that.She didn't care she had her money.That was the first time I had ever paid that much for a party and truly felt that it wasn't worth a penny.When you pay $85 extra for a kid to dress up as a princess for your daughter's party you expect them to talk to the kids and keep them interested in the party and to have fun with them. She was extremely quiet.She did make the pictures look nice.I guess it's a good thing I did get her because there wasn't much to the party.The best part of the whole party was the fashion show and that was less then 10minutes.The girls in the jeans and t shirts were pouring the tea for the kids which we were told the princess would be pouring the tea for the kids and talking with them and playing with them.There wasn't even enough seating for the adults who brought the kids to sit in the room. Most had to go in the front room and it was so hot from the sun beating through the glass that they had to wait in there and was never approached by the owner or asked if they were okay.It truly was a lesson learned.I just want people to know before they pay TOO MUCH MONEY for nothing.You get much better service from a Chuck E Cheese party.Atleast they treat the birthday child with respect and acknowledge them.I don't think people would mind paying if the party venue would make it worth their money.She is not out to please the customer at all and doesn't care if you are not pleased. She does things her way and that's the only way it will be done.The little girls(hostesses)were very quiet and did not interact too much with the party guests.The owner is very unprofessional and not at all concerned for the sake of the customer. Hi,If you have a daughter who loves to dress up and play tea party,a place like this might seem to be inviting to you too but PLEASE READ .It took two weeks to call us back.The day we went to tour the place, the owner who greeted was dressed very unprofessional.They had a decorated room with a few small table sets.Was it fancy and really cute for what you are paying?No but thought they may make it really nice during the party.We had to ask all questions.She did not volunteer any information.If you ask more than two questions you were bothering her.Before I paid the deposit she tells me if we want the princess we can choose from any one of them for additional $85.After paying the deposit, she told me she would email me the pictures of the princesses to decide.It took another week before I got an email of ONE picture. When I asked again to email the rest she replied most were not available and there were only two to choose from.It's amazing how things change after you pay the deposit.Basic party is $280 they serve the kids chips and lemonade. If you want a princess to serve the tea and have tea with them it's $85 more!I had a few more questions and she acted as if she was bothered once again.The day of the party we were a little early in case of traffic.When we arrived my little girl was so excited she was dressed up in her princess outfit and couldn't wait for her party.After waiting we noticed through the door that there were lights on and it was 30min before the party was to start so I decided to knock on the door.No one answered and they turned the lights out so now my little girl was waiting even longer outside looking in the door wishing she could go in.I knocked again 15min before and the owner came to the door opened it a tiny bit and said we can't come in until 10 min before the party starts! She was VERY RUDE to all of us standing outside.She NEVER EXPLAINED that to me or my mother when we booked the party and here's the birthday girl standing there at the door looking up all excited and told she has to stand outside for 5 more minutes.She DIDN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE BIRTHDAY GIRL OR EVEN SAY HI to her when my daughter was saying hi.When we asked why she couldn't even let us in 15 min before so we could get in before people started arriving she said very rudely that is how she's always done it and that's her rules!then she shut the door on my baby girl!We could not believe it.She made us wait until 4 minutes past the time.We went in the door two young girls asked if we needed any help. The owner NEVER SPOKE TO US AT ALL OR EVER ACKNOWLEDGED MY DAUGHTER.They give you one small table to put any food that you bring and when you put something down on it they move it HOW THEY WANT IT!They told me where my cake had to go and then they took the favors that I made and put them in a box smashed together under a table! I had to request several times for them to take the favors( that took me a while to make) and put them on a table for people to see them. It wasn't until people were already there that they set them out.My little girl was just sitting at one of the tables all by herself when she first got there because they told her to find a seat and then they would bring out the special guest(princess). At this point the Owner who was so rude to all of us including the birthday girl has STILL NOT SPOKEN TO HER OR ACKNOWLEDGED HER.The guests were not greeted so, I had to end up telling the little girls that they could go to the back dress up room to pick a costume to wear.The young girl who dressed up as the princess for our party came out to meet my daughter and she was really quiet without much personality.she was just looking at my daughter not saying anything and smiling. My daughter was the one asking her questions VERY ARKWARD.At some point I heard one of the helpers which were both dressed in jeans and a tshirt and tennis shoes say that they were going to sing happy birthday.READ BELOW FOR 2ND HALF!TOO MUCH TO LEAVE OUT Pros: null Cons: null more
