My Daddy's Bakery & Cafe

OWNER'S DAUGHTER IS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!! A young woman was terribly rude to both my mother (a senior citizen and I). We were there to purchase cookies as well as pastries. When I complained about the way she was speaking to customers (she also yelled at some old man), she basically told us to go jump in the lake. When I asked to talk to the owner, she ID'd herself as the owner's daughter and told us if we don't like the service, just don't come back. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!! By the way, I am from NYC and I am 100% Italian....they are not the norm! more

To be Italian is to be temperamental at times. I love this bakery and I'm from back east. I have read people think they are rude. I've never found them to be. They talk loud sometimes. It's a NYC thing. They're bakery items are excellent and they will special order whatever they can. more

Approximately two weeks prior to my daughters birthday I went into the bakery and ordered a cake. I was very specific on what I wanted because I had a color theme to the party. I received a phone call the day before the birthday party that they could not do the cake the way I had ordered it. They were willing to use a different color, however this was not acceptable to me. I was in tears, they apologized and stated that it was their fault, but were not willing to do anything about it to fix the problem. They told me they did not order the right color fondant....what???? Really??? You're a bakery and you don't make your own fondant? They could have gone out to Michael's and purchased it since it was their mistake, but no they were not willing to do anything. I asked if I would receive a discount.....again the answer was no. So, I had to cancel the order and find someone else at the last minute. KICK ASS KAKES was amazing....not only did they do a last minute order....it was exactly what I had ordered in the first place. About 4 days later I call Daddy due to not having my money returned to my account....they had the nerve to tell me that I had to come in and bring the same card I used to purchase the cake.....all I can say is WOW...you could have told me that when I cancelled the cake. NEVER....EVER....EVER will I use this bakery again, poor service all around. Thanks for nothing Daddy!!! more

DO NOT GO TO THIS BAKERY!!! THE STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. My father who is legally blind with diabetes went in and asked if he could possibly put in a special order for canolis made with splenda and then the staff started cussing and yell at him and told him to go somewhere else. We will now go to Romanelis in Phoenix!!! My daddy's bakery needs to be shut down!!! more

The owner is rude . Told me if I give him 300 thousand dollars , I can do what ever I want with the place . His daughter and employee are clearly afraid of him and his temper, screaming fits of rage . When I was there in march of 2011 he made his daughter cry . I have a 80% vision loss and because I had to ask his daughter alot of questions he interpreted that to mean I was giving her trouble . I cant see well thats all , do I need to announce that every where I shop ? I went there two years ago and I was insulted that time too . I do not recomend this soup nazi styl place of business .
