Mutual Materials Co.

I'm writing because my many experiences w/ Mutual Materials staff have all been positive. I was surprised at the negative reviews and decided I should write. I do agree that they need more help because it's always busy when I'm there; You must allow adequate time when you're shopping at Mutual. But I've found every employee, from the men who work the brickyard, to the women behind the counter, to be interested in my projects, knowledgeable about measurements and their stock quantities, and helpful w/ my budget. I've used Mutual about eight times over the past seven years. I've bought brick, pavers and thin brick from them. more

This place must be lawsuit phobic or unable to do basic mathhematical calculations. Will not help customers, keep telling you to buy elsewhere. Guess they aren't interested in job security. The ONLY one who knows what they are doing is Gary-he's ben there a very long time and knows his stuff and is always helpful more

We have purchased pavers and stonewall and have found the materials to be of good quality. However, the customer service in the showroom is supar. While purchasing $400 worth of stonewall material, the person kept saying that ""if it wasn't right, that's on us"". It felt like he didn't know what he was doing or wouldn't stand behind his material calculations. Since there's a restocking fee, we weren't too confident about it. We just visited recently, and there were 2-3 people in the back area. One looked at us and kept working. We waited and waited; finally asking if someone could answer a question, he gave us the ""stink eye"" and got up reluctantly. If we decide to purchase material, we may be looking for another company or at least try their other store. more
