Music Guild Store

This is a great store whether you're looking for new equipment or a great selection of superb vintage instruments. They always seem to have at least one old Hammond B3 organ, Wurlitzer, Rhodes and more! And I know for a fact they do NOT strip any parts off their instruments like someone mentioned. They actually have gone out of their way to purchase a missing (vintage) truss rod cover for a Strat I was looking to buy. It's a breath of fresh air to deal with the owner of a brick and mortar store rather than some college grad with a business degree who couldn't find any other job. I highly recommend checking it out - make sure to ask for what you are looking for though! more

I bought two guitars from this store. One was a1975 Gibson ES 175 and the other an early model Jackson. I got an exellent deal on both of the guitars and they are the pride of my growing guitar collection. The store is oozzing with hard to find vintage instument (not just guitars also amps, dums, violins, ect.) sold by an extreamly knowlagable and super nice store owner. The man who owns the store took his time to make sure I knew everything about the instruments I was buying and treated me with warmth and kindness not typically found in big franchise chains such as Guitar Center and Sam Ash. This store has a mom and pop feel to ot that is so refreshing from the other aformentioned turn and burn retailers. I highly recommend this store for someone who wants a throw back to the days when music stores were'nt catering to the mass influx of non musicians (DJ'S) and can come in hang out and play while they shop and marval out and outstanding array of instuments. Its even worth the trip to come to the Music guild to meet its owner who has great stories of famous musicains he has had the pleasure of knowing and even teaching. This store is the vintage capital!!! more

This Place goes way back to the 70's? or so. The place is pretty well weathered, old and has not been updated in a million years. Places like this sometimes have some real gems, They are equipt with good supplies as well since they help supply/rent to the local schools. You can berely walk through the store it is so cluttered, but Like I already said, you can find some real vintage gems in here despite the disarray. It should rate a 0 but with the vintage take on all the instruments ot could rate as a 5 for vitage bargains - regardless it is one in a million. Nothing like guitar center. at any minute it seems like the blues brothers will come walking out of the back room. Good Luck more

The owner of this store bought a trumpet stolen form us worth thousands and paid my son $75 for it. Either he is totally unknowledgeable about instruments or he is crooked. more

I never took lessons here or bought any equipment here. I did however go in to buy some reeds. The men there were nice and pleasant. I don't have much to go on for my review but they did have my reed in stock, which was nice. This is on Main Street, so parking is always iffy. It stinks that you have to put in a quarter to go into the store to buy a reed that takes only 5 minutes. What a waste ot 20 cents. more
