My son loved this place!! 1/24/2006

I have a 2 year old who is obsessed with trains and this is definitely the place he wanted to go. He climbed on them, played in them, and had the time of his life. Then, they have an exploration center that's out of this world, where the kids make crafts. I think he liked this as much as the trains!!! more

Thomas fans unite! 10/20/2005

This awesome museum is more like a playground for train fans and their parents. Don't miss Santa's arrival on the North Pole Express every holiday with lots of treats for the kids. more

Trains, Planes and Automobiles 8/16/2005

The Museum of Transportation has something for anyone fascinated with moving vehicles. There is a a cable car you can ride on from one part of the facility to another, you can walk through passenger trains, Coal Trains and various other cars of the rail system. There is a C-47 airplane to look at and then you reach the auto museum. It's like winning the lottery if you love looking at cars from the past. There are actual race cars, muscle cars and fancy cars from famous people (Bobby Darin's Dream Car). The evolution of the automobile is shown from the first Model A's to Steam Cars to cars of the modern era. more

Fascinating day with the kids in fall or spring 8/11/2005

Everything from trains to helicopters in one place. The staff is very friendly and great with children. I would not recommend going during the summer because of the heat. There is very little shade except for the small railroad depot and it gets hard to enjoy the exhibits on hot days. more

Great fun for the kids. My son asks to go here every year. There are lots of trains to explore and learn about. They also have stuff about cars, planes and boats. You can also have birthday parties here which is pretty cool for the younger kids into trains. This place is lots of fun! more

Great fun for kids 7/22/2005

Kids love this museum it has tons of train to climb on and go through. My husband loves it as much as my five year old. They also have a car museum, planes, and a military boat that have to be checked out. There is a party room and a small train that goes around for kids to ride on. A great time for the whole family. My only complaint is it's not handicap accesible. more
