Good experience 3/12/2013

Very respectful to my property and my neighbors. They took pictures of the roof so I could see the damage up close without going up there myself. My neighbor recommended them to me because she had a good experience with them too. This is a good local company to call for your roofing needs. more

Good business and people. While completing my job the crew was just fine. Worked hard throughout the day, and cleaned up after themselves before they left for the night. The total cost was exactly what was quoted. I would hire them again if I had to do it all over again. more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I didn't personally use them for their services, but my neighbor is. They have been here now for a total of at least 8 days I think. I am not sure why it is taking them so long to get a roof and siding done, but then again, what they seem to do the most of is talking to each other, cursing, smoking and talking on their cell phones. I also do not have a drive way, so they are taking up the spot where I would normally park my car and now I have to park a block from my house each day due to their tools truck taking up my two spots. Also, they decided to use my house for their power tool charging. While the house they are working on is on the complete other side of the street. They never asked my permission and my daughter comes home from school everyday where their chargers are plugged in outside of MY house while im not the one using their services. I have absolutely NOTHING GOOD to say about these people. Very rude and inconsiderate!!!!! DEFINITELY DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!!! more

The quote for our roof was within dollars of what we paid when the job was completed. I must say, the roof looks so much better than our old roof. We are very happy with the work Murphy Roofing Co. completed for us. more

This business deserves a WARNING rating. DO NOT USE THEM! Go to the BBB or other reliable source to find a reputable roofing service. They prey on older people living alone, give them a quote and then jack up the price by $$$$ when they deliver the bill completely taking the home owner by surprise. They then resort to bullying and intimidating tactics to try to scare these poor people into paying a hugely inflated invoice. After they did this to my mother I did some research and found out that they have done this to several other unsuspecting people. They initially quoted my mother $3,600 to replace her roof (she lives in a small row home with a flat roof) the bill started to climb daily until eventually they told her it would cost her $9700...she was devastated and worried about the huge price increase?but what could she do, the roof was torn off and covered in tarp. A few days later they mailed her an invoice for $14,300 for a tiny, flat roof! I don't know how these people live with themselves. more

I've never personally used these guys, but my neighbor has used them enough times for me to now cringe every time I see their trucks pull up. The first time they did work on my neighbor's house, discarded roofing material was left all over my property. The last time they did work, they basically shut my street down, setting up their table saw, etc. in the middle of my street and sidewalk such that no cars or pedestrians could navigate. Additionally, a friend of mine had his car hit by a Murphy Roofing truck and the driver drove away. Luckily, someone saw it happen and IIRC, they got in trouble. It's pretty clear that Murphy Roofing just wants to get in, do their job, and screw everyone else in the general vicinity. Have more respect for your neighbors/neighborhood and don't hire these guys. more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COMPANY!!! 1/17/2012

I have to say I had my roof done by the Murphy family! They did the best job in the World! I have recently had a new roof put on by them. They were very professional, they did an awesome job with my New Roof. I love it! Bill helped me chose a color that would match perfect. They do the best clean up in the world. They are the sweetest people ever. My neighbors loved them as well, and kept telling them how wonderful they were doing. When I call the office, the secretary, Dee, she is so sweet and very understanding and professional. Mike explained everything to me as things were being done. I could go on and on...but in all honesty my roof looks wonderful. I would never chose a different company besides Murphy Roofing. Great job to the entire, company!!! more
