Recently went there on a busy Sunday evening for dinner with a friend, and I left somewhat annoyed an definitely unimpressed. The wait staff were always pleasant from the beginning, but then with the rush ignored my friend and I for upwards of an hour while we sat low on water, and no one bothering to ask if I'd like another glass of wine, and it that long for us to receive our meal. \r

The red sonja, ""signature appetizer,"" was a bland red lentil paste served on a lettuce leaf. It had little to no flavor. Another thing about it is that it's served by what appears to be the chef ""squishing"" it between his/her fingers to leave a stylized finger imprint. I guess for some this wouldn't bother them, but I found it to be unappetizing. \r

After waiting nearly an hour, during which time the waiter swung by occasionally never bothering to apologize for the delay, refill water or, as mentioned, ask about my empty wine glass, our food arrived; others who had arrived after us received there orders before us. This is always so annoying, especially when it's not acknowledged. \r

The rest of the meal was bland with very little flavor. It wasn't bad, but it was uninteresting. We ordered: a cretan salad, empanada, and a pasta dish. I think the problem is that the menu makes everything sound far more dynamic and flavorful than the food is actually, which is disappointing. \r

I give the restaurant two stars simply because the staff ,while seemingly inexperienced in attending to customers on a busy night (in my opinion the waiter should have apologized forthwith and offered me a glass of wine on the house to make up for the delay), were still very nice. The best I can say about the food was that it tasted ""clean.""
Pros: ambience
Cons: unappealing food, long delay
