Mug'n Muffin

I have been going to the MUG since I was a teenager; my sister and brother both worked here in their teens; I have brought my children here all their lives; I go here for the comfort of a local ""everyone knows your name"" restaurant. There is no ""big chain"" ambiance, but what there is one could not find in a ""big chain restaurant"". The employees are considerate, friendly and attentive. The specials are a great deal and worth trying. The food is basic but delicious! I highly recommend the MUG! more

Whether you are a townie or new to town, you'll love ""The Mug"" for its old-fashioned warmth, food and hospitality. Great breakfasts and lunch. If you get eggs, don't forget to try some of their cheese sauce. My recommendation is to ask for it on the side. On a cold day my favorite is a cup of soup with an old-fashioned BLT on toasted white, or a grilled cheese! I have a young friend going to college out-of-state. When she gets home for break, the first place she wants to head is ""The Mug."" I think it's really the only place in Marshfield you can really call the one true ""home town hang-out"" for young and old alike. It's only open for breakfast and lunch. My personal favorite is one of the vegetable omelets served with the homefries and their absolutely out-of-this-world cheese sauce. Who cares about cholesterol when something is this yummy??? I don't go here everyday so I can justify it. My other favorites are the simple egg specials and the pancakes or the french toast. For lunch, I nearly always get a club sandwich, a BLT. or grilled cheese with soup. The waitresses are the best in Marshfield! If you like coffee served with a smile, stop in at The Mug.
