We found this small restaurant during a conference in san jose, and after eating there every day, 3 days in a row, we're hooked! The tandoori chicken is perfectly seasoned, moist, and steaming when it reaches your table, the curries(chicken tikka masala, goat, aloo gobi, palak paneer etc) are all delectable, the saffron rice is perfectly fluffy and the naan comes in different flavors (we like the garlic). It's not as hot as indo-pak food usually is, which was good for our non-indian selves. Very nice owners too! There's an all-you-can-eat buffet for lunch ($8!), whereas at night it's sort of like a family sit-down diner ($21 fills 2 very hungry people, so the price is right). If you order tandoori chicken, of course it's going to take a while because it's fresh! allow 20 minutes for that sort of order.
Pros: delicious halal food, easy parking, never too crowded, good prices, open till 10 every night
Cons: sometimes there's a TV on, so make sure your husband is facing _away_ from it if you want to engage in any meaningful conversation ;)
