Mr. Muchnicki has 28 years of experience as a practicing attorney. He is a 1971 graduate (with honors) of American University in Washington D.C. where he earned his undergraduate degree and a 1974 graduate (with honors) of George Washington University Law School, also in Washington, D.C. He was a civil and criminal prosecutor for the State of Ohio for over twenty years before he entered private practice where he has focused upon immigration law.
Mr. Muchnicki specializes in complex litigation matters and has appeared before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, Sixth, Eleventh and District of Columbia Circuits and numerous federal district courts. He has presented almost two dozen cases before the Ohio Supreme Court. He is the recipient of awards from both the National Association of Attorneys General and the National College of District Attorneys. He has been a guest lecturer at seminars sponsored by the United States Depart ment of Justice, The United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the bar associations of Arizona, Tennessee and South Carolina. Recently he was selected by the Ohio State Bar Association to present the lecture on asylum law at the Association's 2001 Immigration Law seminar.
