These people rip you off, don't return your money, take money out of the rent they collect for you they shouldn't take, don't refund your money when you stop doing business with them. They lie, don't return phone calls and don't even pay their own phone bills so the number is disconnected when you keep calling trying to get the money they owe you. Tom is a worthless businessman if you can even use that term. Don't do business with them if you are the property owner or looking to rent. This is by far the worst place I have EVER rented from. My first problem happened when a one of the main pipes broke in the house. It flooded the carpet under my daughters room. I called them this that day and someone came out, but after knocking 4 different holes in the wall the guy determined someone else would have to fix it. It took two weeks for all the pipe, dry wall and carpet people to get the job done. Before all this happened we ask for some type of compensation for not being able to stay in our home. They only thing they offered us was $50 to stay a night or two at a hotel. There is not one hotel that I could take my 2 kids and wife to for that money. Oh, and the other funny thing is that I would have to pay it up front. My next issue with them happened recently. My house was robbed. The back door was kicked in and some of my things were stolen. I called them and they said they would have the door fixed, but I would have to pay them back??? It is not my door so I am really confused to why I have to do this? Needless to say I am moving out because my lease is up. I called them today to let them know and they said I can only move out at the first of the month and not the middle of the month even if I give them a 30 day notice. I a, not sure sure how they can allow someone to move in the house during the middle of the month, but not out... Please do not waste your time or money on this place! This is a terrible company. They were so nice until I signed the contract. Two weeks after signing the contract they had not taken any pictures or posted it on any website. After being told someone would come take pictures I did not hear from anyone for a week and not called back when I left messages. I finally got back in touch with Carol "vice pres." and let her know that I wanted to cancel the contract. She then proceeded to tell me "I couldnt have done anything with your condo anyway". She told me up front MTC had so many properties they manage and now I know why most of them are still up for rent. Beware!!! more

We leased a house from MTC. It was a horrible experience. Take a look at Merchant circle and yahoo, and you will see several bad reviews. They are awful. The house was filthy upon arrival. We found broken windows, insects, food, and even dog toe nail clippings, and this is a 1725/month house on Poplar Pike (Germantown). We turned in a list of needed repairs, they have not been done since Novemeber. They have come in and on our property without permission repeatedly. I had to file police reports and serve them with papers. The house is not well insulated, we asked if it had led paint and were told "I don't know". This is a federal disclosure requirement. They are rude when we call, and they have done nothing but make this experience terrible. We also pay for biweekly yard care in the rent. This has been done one time. They are a horrible company, and since they are very uneducated people, they don't even care. Just don't work with them, you'll be glad you stayed away! These people are a piece of work. Called to get them to give info to mortgage co. for construction loan and was told it would be $10 and they wouldn't give the info until I drove to the other side of town and paid them. We asked to speak to the boss(Carol), and she said "I don't have time for this, I'll just pay your stupid $10. We weren't asking her for a freebie, just to be able to send it in with the rent, (which we pay on time). She spoke to my wife like she was a piece of you know what. Never would I rent from then again. more
