The Mike's Deluxe is heaven on a bun. Every sandwich is top notch. Call in your order ahead or you'll wait 10-15 minutes.

Oddly addictive sandwiches! 8/26/2011

I had always passed the deli, but it looks grungy from the outside, but heard high reviews. I go in (luckily I phoned in my order ahead of time!) and its packed, hot and muggy, but when I paid, the guy was super nice, the employees were all working hard. I get my sandwich(the deli club) and take the first bite and it was freaking oddly amazing! I get cravings now! The GOOD: Great food, great service(if you phone your order ahead) The BAD: No AC, always hot and muggy and crowded(probably because the food is amazing) more

Sandwiches, sandwiches, sandwiches! 9/1/2005

I had driven by this little sandwich shop for five years before a chef friend of mine told me it was one of his favorite lunch spots. "They only make sandwiches," he told me. "But the sandwiches are great." He was right. The staff efficiently fills hundreds and hundreds of sandwich orders each day, so ingredients are fresh and everything is made to order. My hubby loves the 9-inch Italian and I prefer the veggie sandwich on wheat. Diners can add drinks (the deli is located within a mini-mart that carries a huge selection of beer, juice and soda), chips, and more. There are spots to sit but atmosphere is lacking, so we prefer to carry out. more

Magical Sandwich Makers bring on awesome sandwiches! 8/17/2005

The Magical Sandwich Makers kick together some great sandwiches at this place, which pretty much amounds to a mini-mart with a deli counter. I'm not really sure what makes their sandwiches so great, but they are good and there's usually a line at the counter to prove it. My fave is the deli club, minus bacon, with all condiments. Note also that this place has a huge selection of single bottles of beer in the fridge case, all sorts of micro-brews, etc., and would be worth visiting for that reason only even w/o the sandwiches. Why not grab a sandwich and while you're there get some brews for later? Not to be missed, a definite Tacoma treasure! more
