Helpful and accommodating 4/2/2014

I'm happy to have found Mr. Transmission. They were able to immediately diagnose the problems with my transmission and were extremely helpful and patient. They replaced my transmission for a very fair place and I liked their attitude. They didn't try to upsell me and were very upfront every step of the way. They gave me some very good tips about prolonging the life of my new transmission. I'd definitely recommend them. more

Excellent work 3/7/2014

I'm so pleased with Mr. Transmission's service. I went in looking to buy a new transmission for my car and they ran a free diagnostic check to determine whether or not I needed one. I really appreciate how considerate Bob and Dave are. They always give me good tips and their prices are very reasonable. I've been using them for close to three years now and would definitely recommend them. more

Takes care of all of my car's needs 2/7/2014

Mr. Transmission goes above and beyond my expectations. They do a fantastic job of personalizing the service and keeping me informed of the work that they're doing. They always give me an estimate before they do the work and if they find any additional services I could use, they get my approval before adding them. They're very customer-oriented and that's hard to come by these days. Bob is very accommodating, honest, and professional. I've been using Mr. Transmission for several years now and have already recommended them to many friends. more

They are extremely nice and very helpful at Mr. Transmission. For every little thing that they wanted to do to my car, they called me up to ask very nicely and tell me how much it would be. They were quick. When I went to pick up my car, they explained everything they did. They gave me a great deal, too. I think I stood in there for half an hour just talking to Bob about miscellaneous things. He is genuine and doesn't try to charge you for things you don't need. more

Outstanding! 11/4/2013

Mr. Transmission has worked with me on transmissions, rear end accidents, bearings and handled the insurance portion of a collision I was a part of. Every time I hear a funky noise, they take of me. I trust them to figure out what's wrong and not overcharge me. I would highly recommend them to anyone. more

The people I talked to at Mr. Transmission - the shop owner and all the shop guys - gave me straight answers the whole time. Before they do the work, they will call you and have you come down so the problem areas can be discussed and pointed out. They don't just tell you what they think is wrong and make you worry they're charging you for something you don't really need. more

Nicest guys in the world! 8/29/2013

Mr Transmission did a major job on my car. I had just had my car in one place where they told me that it sounded like it had something to do with the differential and they recommended me to Mr. Transmission. Turned out, it had nothing to do with the differential. They told me exactly what it was and took care of it accordingly. They were so nice that they talked to my regular mechanic because he didn't want to step on anybody's toes. He did a good job. Bob and Dave are just the nicest guys in the world. They're just great. I'm supposed to drive up there soon for them to do a check to see if everything is okay. more

High Quality Honest Business! 7/21/2013

I recently purchased a 2005 Buick lacrosse which I assumed needed a new transmission but wasn't sure. I called around the Chicago area and Mr. Transmission was the only business who said they were going to run a full diagnostics check on it just in case it wasn't a full transmission repair to really see whats going on with it. I decided to go with them, and I am so glad that I did. It ended up not being a full replacement like I assumed, and I am grateful for how honest they were! I also work on business out of town and usually am gone for most week days and they cooperated with me and allowed my car to stay there for a few days after the repair was finished, which ALL other shops in the area told me I was going to be charged extra for. It saved me a lot of stress! Dave is a really great, honest business man. He's really easy to talk to, knowledgeable and is passionate about his work. I highly recommend this place to anyone! more

Honestly, beyond grateful. 7/9/2013

We just picked up my 2008 Dodge Charger this morning. Dave an his entire staff were wonderful. My husband knows how to deal with some car matters, but, not transmissions. They communicated with us to the point they wanted to make sure we understood and address any questions we had (NOT the type of shop to try to pull something over your head). They ended up saving us some money in the end in terms of labor. Some manufacturer recalls had to be addressed and saved us money by doing them now why the transmission was already out. If we had to go back in 2 months just to fix something little, we would have undoubtedly said, why didn't you catch this before. In times when money is tight, it would have been far more the burden to have to keep going back, so, they actually saved us some money. This was the first time both my husband and I agreed that we and our car would given great attention are were completely satisfied with the service we got. I couldn't reccomend a better local place to go to. more

The quality is good and I would go back again. 3/6/2013

Mr. Transmission stepped through the process of what had to be done and showed me the problem with the transmission. They showed me what work they would do to improve the quality. My transmission runs better than it did on day one! They have quality service and the price structure is just right. Their price is in the middle, not too high and not too low. more

I'm satisfied with them. 2/5/2013

Mr. Transmission replaced rearing and gears in the rear differential, which had been making noises. After I received the truck back, I thought there was a problem because I was hearing a noise, so I took the truck back. They took the differential cover off, checked the system, and showed me how it was working. They did the work right in front of me and I was satisfied with their explanations. I had a good experience and I would recommend them for any type of transmission or differential work. more

Those guys were dynamite, they were great! 1/7/2013

I went in with a car straight from the dealership, where the dealer told me I needed a new transmission. They had the car in there for a few days and told me the problem was with a single part. They replaced the part without having to replace the transmission, at about half the price the dealership was charging for a used transmission. Those guys were dynamite, they were great! more

Mr. Transmission was really nice and their guys did what they had to do. I thought that I had a problem with my transmission, but it ended up being a wire that had been chewed through by rodents. They looked and looked for a long time to find the problem. They just seemed to know what they were doing. more

I needed a new transmission and Mr. Transmission took care of it. They had to tow my car in, and were very reasonable with that. They were upfront with the price, very prompt with the fix, and they explained everything well. They even brought me in with the car so I didn't have to arrange to get a ride or anything. more

They replaced a rear axle bearing that blew on my Toyota. They got right to it, had no problems. They had me back on the road quickly, I'm quite satisfied. more

Excellent craftsmanship, fast service. 8/3/2012

Mr. Transmission has worked on all my cars, and I go to them with any transmission need. They put in a new transmission on my sister's car, and put a new clutch in my Mustang. They also built a custom transmission for my '97 S250 diesel. Their work is excellent. I have never had a problem with anything once they have worked on it. They are hands on and fast. They also let me know what is going on step by step. For example, I dropped off a car on Monday night, they started working on it Tuesday, let me know what was wrong, got all the parts, and I was out the door on Thursday. They are fast and the craftsmanship is excellent. more
