Outstanding food. Went two nights in a row and loved everything. It was very busy and service was a bit slow but well worth the wait. more

The restaurant was a pleasant surprise! Excellent food, and exceptional service. Our waiter was very very knowledgable about the beers and wines and made excellent recommendation. All 6 in the party want to go back again. A must if in Stowe. more

A very relaxed & cozy pub. The Boar ribs were excellent and so was the service. Will definitely return. more

We were greeted by the owner when we entered the warm and comfortable pub area. A quick scan showed a huge selection of fine ales and liquor. We moved on to the dining room where our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Tried the house specialty, Beef Wellington and we were not disappointed, everything was very well prepared and delicious. I plan on dining there again everytime I am in the Stowe area. I highly recommed Pickwicks for a quiet dinner and a relaxing evening. more

Casey the bartender is amazing! She was so helpful indistinguish beers to assist our likes. The beer selection is huge so she was awesome! The inn keeper was over to our table several times to make sure we were pleased. He was so nice and welcoming. I would reccomend this place to anyone who wants to just have a few drinks by the fire and have a few laughs. Dinner was amazing the food was served quickly and was really good. I am so happy my friends and I found this place. Go here and have a great time!! more

The owner made a good effort to be visible and friendly. He made sure we enjoyed ourselves and his establishment. The menu was quite diverse and the house salad was exquisite. They had a beer called ""Founders"" on tap which was absolutely delicious to last through the meal. As the beer warmed the flavor came out and it continued to evolve. The very traditional English feel was welcomed in the charming Vermont town! You can't afford to pass this place by! more

On first walking in the warmth, atmosphere and friendliness of the staff is such a welcome home. The table settings are quaint and elegant and reminiscent of a classic English pub all at the same time. The well kept wooden tables and pewter beer steins hanging from the ceiling give it a nostalgic feel. Most importantly, the staff has always welcomed my children at an early age and was gracious to my wife and family. What separated pickwick's from the next inn is the delicious food, which has a pleasantly diverse menu, is well-prepared and will please even a NYC snob but come prepared with an appetite - the menu is not lite fare. But if you enjoy duck entrees, wild boar sausage, fancied up ma and cheese, and mulligatawny soup chock full o' goodies, you will not leave hungry. Best not to plan on eating desert, which seems to be a running joke with the staff. Better leave some Room though to sample the delicious English ales in draft which are more like desert anyways. Lastly, you may not notice pickwick's from the road, but I sure am glad I stumbled upon it 15 years ago. Cheers! Alex and Chuck more

We stayed at the attched Inn, and stopped into the pub for a drink before our dinner reservation elsewhere. The bar area is nice, and is perhaps the nicest part of the Inn. Casey, the bartendress, was courteous and professional, and though we didn't order from the dinner it looked to have some nice entrees. Definitely worth a stop if you're staying at the Inn. more

This was by far our favorite dining experience while in Stowe. The pub has an extraordinary atmosphere both in its beautifully appointed decor and the welcoming hospitality of the staff. We were blessed with a very engaging, entertaining and attentive server (David), the food was delicious (best onion soup I've ever tasted), and our entire experience from the moment we walked in to our departure was top-notch and memorable. Highly recommend! Thank you for a perfect dining experience! more

We'll definitely be coming back the next time our family is in Stowe. We've visited Stowe on several occasions and tried most restaurants in town. This is one of my favourites. The food was suburb from the appetizers to the amazing desserts. The atmosphere alone would draw anyone back for a great overall pub experience. Very warm and inviting after a long day of skiing. One of the best pubs I've been to in a long time! more

I have not yet found anything I didn't like. Over the years I have tried much of the menu and I always had enjoyed all that I ordered. The English menu is wonderful and beer and wine selection couldn't t be better. Go for it, it's worth going to. I can't go to Stowe without having to eat dinner at Mr. Pickwick's . This restaurant should be ranked in the top 5 places in Stowe to eat at. more

The first time we ate at Mr. Pickwick's, it was for brunch. The Dutch Pancake House was closed, so we decided to try M.P. The brunch we had was absolutely outstanding! We had friends up for the weekend and we were all so very happy with everything we had. We were totally impressed and, all the while, studying the dinner menu. It looked delicious, too! \r We have been back for dinner twice. Both times, the food has been delicious and the atmosphere has been fun. As a family, we all agree that the boar ribs are the best thing we have yet ordered, but there are many more tasty dishes to try! more

Food Excellent Decor Excellent Service Excellent\r This was the BEST steak I have had in a long time, one of the better restaurants in Stowe VT that I have been to. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative. I ordered a martini and was very pleased not to mention it was half the price of many other places in the area. more
