Mr. Dave's has been in business as long as I can remember, which is a while since I'm getting close to the half-century mark! Originally a car-hop style restaurant at the edge of town that served great food and root beer in frosty mugs, they now have location downtown with fast food style service, but not your usual mass-produced fast food. Hamburger is ground fresh daily, and their famous tenderloins are hand-cut and hand-breaded. Mr. Dave's has the best onion rings I have ever eaten! They also offer broasted chicken, french fries, breaded vegetables, home made soups, pork BBQ, among other items on their menu, and ice cream for dessert! I have never had a bad meal from Mr. Dave's, and the service is swift (although you may have a short wait for the delectable broasted chicken, and it's worth the wait).\r

The interior of the restaurant has booths and tables and is decorated in a country motif with old-fashioned newspaper ad tabletops, which can make for interesting reading during your short wait. The staff is friendly and efficient. Anyone new to town who asks my opinion of the best place to eat gets sent to Mr. Dave's!
Pros: Excellent food without a long wait.
Cons: You may have a short wait (15-20 minutes) if you order broasted chicken.
