Amazing Food 7/25/2008

Love the food, drinks, Appetizers, It's all good only thing is be prepared to spend LOTS OF MONEY. It's expensive, but for a single person out to mingle with a group of friends this is the place. Not a great family restaurant. Pros: Great Food, Good service, valet parking available, nice fire pit outside Cons: Expensive, not kid friendly more

A long ride in an elevator 4/14/2008

It has the makings of a great restaurant, but somehow still fails. Place is beautiful, no doubt. Waitstaff is attentive. The thing that pushed this restaurant into intolerability was the music in the restaurant. It was LOUD muszak. I couldn't shake the feeling I was stuck in an elevator with rations, The menu was overwhelming with too many items. I had to look twice to ensure I didn't get the kids menu - When I opened the ornate (but dirty) folder that the menu came in it was full of cartoons. Food was fine, but forgettable. Beware of the "Crispy Chicken". Apparently it is no longer crispy due to customers not wanting skin on their chicken. There was no mention of this when we ordered. It was good, just not crispy. more

Fun Food - Great Bar 3/25/2008

Fun to go in a group, ordering appetizers and dishes to share with drinks never disappoints. Prices can add up when you are having a good time. Wait staff very friendly, they monitor the table well, very helpful with advice when ordering. Menu is imaginitive - plenty of variety. I wouldn't say they are cutting edge, but they do the asian fusion well. Easy parking. Get there early if you want to hear conversations. Pros: Creative Dishes, Great Drinks, Personable Wait staff Cons: Can get pricey, Crowded and Noisy more

You will leave SATISFIED!!! 11/18/2007

By far, one of the best retaurants in the Conejo Valley. My wife and I really enjoyed the food. We ate the entire meal, plus desert, and didn't even take any home. The lounge is nice, and beautiful people all around. If you want to spend a nice amount of money and eat a solid meal, then Buddha Lounge is the place for you. more

They Definitely Make Attempts 10/4/2007

MOZ definitely makes good attempts to be yet another one of the handful of 'trendy" restaurant/bars in the area. Thankfully, because of their satisfyingly tasty food, attentive wait staff, as well as, poshy & stylish ambience, they pass. Unfortunately patrons of the younger crowd may be disappointed in the middle aged range, which is the majority, of the bar crowd. And if you are familiar with the other few places that cater to the same type of folks, you'll know that this is AKA desperate old men and old women dressing as if they were still 21....yes, pathetic. So if you're going for a dinner, I would highly recommend - just beware of the prices. If you're looking to go for just drinks and to hang out with friends, you're better off going to a place where there aren't creepy old single people eyeing you with the hopeful possibility of you being their next spouse. Yikes! more

Great Asian Fusion 8/25/2007

I have been to this establishment several times and have always had great food, drinks and service. Bar scene is mostly40-50ish singles. Weekends do have Live entertainment. Drinks are always good, try the bartenders latest infused cocktail-changes frequently. My favorite dish is the wok stirred seafood over noodles-a bit spicey but ask for extra sauce. Every dish I have tried has been excellent. I have tried several pan-asian restaurants and this does rank near the top. Good place to have a drink at the bar, eat dinner then hangout on the patio for entertainment etc. Pros: Food, drinks, atmosphere Cons: Only valet parking more

Friendly Service, nice food and wine 3/16/2007

We ate a business dinner here on March 14 and were treated very well. The service was attentive without being overbearing, though the waiter could have known more about the wine list since we were looking for wines from local wineries. The food was pleasant, well presented and nicely cooked and the wine list was well rounded. We eventually chose a Castoro (sp?) Zinfandel fromPaso Robles, that was excellent with hints of pepper to go with the wide choices made by the dinner companions. The lamb chops wer judged good, the swordfish was also good as were the choices made by the other members of our party Pros: food, service, ambience Cons: valet parking, wine knowledge more

Editorial
  • In Short
The fancy facade of this pan-Asian eatery is awash in deep-red awnings and black-tinted windows. The intimately lit dining room of banquette seating and high-back leather chairs is permeated with an exaggerated Buddha theme. The menu features items like filet mignon satay, tofu stir-fry and jumbo tiger prawns. An adjacent lounge and piano bar is decorated with oversized leather sofas and club chairs for chilling to evening DJs, as dressed-up valley dwellers overflow onto an outdoor terrace with fire pit and retractable roof.
