Mower Medic

took my scag super z there last fall with a week left side hydro motor. i was told the hydro motor and transmission shared the same fluid and both were shot no replacement to be had.after doing some research i found the hydro and trans. are mated together but do not share the same fluid the hydro gear is made by HYDRO GEAR INC and still available. After talking with my brother who his mechanic(heavy equip) he says let me take a look at don't junk it just yet. so i loaded it and took it him (2 hr drive one way) he removed the hydro from the mower and took to his hydraulic guy who confirmed the motor was indeed bad but could be repaired with some machine lapping work no parts needed not even a seal kit to reassemble and he did not charge me anything because my brother has been taking all his hydraulic work to him for years.i had to pay something we agreed 2 ca of beer would be fair payment. a new motor would have cost 425.00 if needed. I'm just now posting this review because i didn't take to my bro until feb. 2016. anyway the mower has 12 hrs on it since being repaired by NON MOWER MECHANICS and running strong.The people at Mower Medics did not charge me anything but i insisted they take at least 20.00 for their time because i felt they did all they could do to help me. I think the needed repairs was beyond their skill set or lack of skills. As i said the people who did the repairs don't make their living working on small engines or lawn mowers. I just had a feeling that there was some way it could be fixed and I'm glad i did some research and talked with my Bro.Sorry Mower Medics i think your all good people but in some cases maybe you should not be taking on work you lack skills in repairing Tom H more

I'm a single mom and had hit a water main with my mower. After talking to other shops who tome it would be 2-3 weeks to look at it (one wante $50 up front and told me it'd be 4 weeks to even look at it?!?!) I called Mower Medic. They looked at it the same day and, fortunately, I only bent the blade. They sold me one for $15 and showed me how to put it on myself. I got the rest of my lawn cut the same day thanks to Mower Medic. I'm telling everyone I know that these are the guys to take your mower to if you want fast, friendly and HONEST service. I took my mower in and it needed carburetor work. However, the carb was shot and the owner (Kim) looked all around the country looking for a new carb for me. He wouldn't take a dime for his time working on my junky mower and found a new carb for $25. They have very reasonable prices and it is a business based on Christian principles. I liked that combination. They treated me right. more

Last Summer I had my rider in to a different shop who kept it nearly a month and told me it couldn't be fixed and still CHARGED me for a "diagnosis". A friend told me to take it to Mower Medic and I did. Kim (the Owner) looked at it before I took it off the trailer, figured out the problem, and fixed it right there in the parking lot in less than 5 minutes. He wouldn't even take one cent. Since then, I have taken my snowblower, my chainsaw and my daughter's mower to Mower Medic, the service he and his brother provide is fast, friendly, and fairly priced. They are simply the BEST in town, and will always have my business! more

Good: Friendly service, always go out of their way to help, fair and reasonable pricing. If they can't fix it, it isn't worth fixing.. Other: What's not to like? These guys know what they're doing and will always have my business, for equipment purchases and any type of small engine repair. Trustworthy & honest as can be. It's nice to know that they have my back when any small equipment breaks down or just needs service. One less thing to worry about, and that is certainly of high value to a busy person.. more

These guys are great! Fixed my mower in 24 hrs!! Took my snowblower in last week (thought it was a goner) and they had it back in 5 days running like a new machine. Friendly, knowledgeable, and more than reasonable prices. I've been to the other small engine places over the years, and none came close to the customer service Mower Medic provides. more
