Movies 8

I love movies, and if you do too, then movies 8 is where to go. Also they have .50 movies and some times it's a $1.00 too. Not just $1.50 all the time. $1.50 is on the weekends, and movies after 6:00pm. I don't usually like to go to the Washington one, I usually go to the Greenwood Movies 8, it's cleaner and better. Just a heads up, however I do go to the Washington one on occashion! more

Yeah, this theater is a little dirty at times, and the movies are old. If you look past that to the fact that you are seeing a movie on the big screen, with good surround sound, for $1.50, it just can't be beat. Well, unless you go to the one down in Greenwood, which shows much of the same stuff. I have only had one bad experience at this theater, when watching War of the Worlds. It wasn't the movie's fault, like you would think, but the fact that there were a bunch of unattended kids running around the theater and yelling during the show. It wasn't more than 30 minutes into the movie before they were ejected, though. Otherwise I have watched movies like Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and that Traveling Pants movie with my wife and enjoyed every minute of it. Four stars for you. more

I have to say this place is OK. And honestly, that is being nice. Yes it is cheaper than the normal Movie Theater, but the movies being shown are older so you aren't getting a New Release for $1.50. I have a hard time going to a theater and my feet stick to the floor and don't dare wear shorts, your legs will stick to the chairs. I am not sure who cleans the place but they need to maybe hire a new cleaning crew. It could be a GREAT cheap place but needs lots of work. I would honestly rather pay more or just rent it then go to the Movies 8 on Washington Street. Gina G more

Movies is not the dollar theater. It's the $1.50 theater. It's impossible to see a movie that cheap any more. That's cheaper than renting a movie. Sure, it's a little loud in the theater. The floors are really sticky, too. But it's a cheap fun night out. Two people can buy tickets, popcorn and a drink for ten bucks. You can't find a cheaper, easier date than that. more
