I have used Move for Cheap 5 times over the last 6 years for various family member. These folks are always on time, hard workers, very honest and careful. Would highly recommend then for any moving situation. more

This is Thomas with Move For Cheap and I would like to take the time to respond to the last review. I am sorry that your Ipad came up missing, and the only reason that our company couldn't go through with the claim was because you left your Ipad in your unlocked car ""outside"", in which our liability does not cover. Anyone could have opened your door and took it once seen laying in plain site in the seat as per your admittance. Either way Brandon or Mannie are no longer with us. I can't say for sure exactly what happened to your Ipad, but I can say for 110% that we DO NOT tolerate theft here! Once again, Im sorry for your loss, and that we left you with a bad taste for our company, but leaving expensive equipment laying in your unlocked car is not recommended. more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My movers were Brandon and Many, really nice to talk to, made the time go by, established a decent rapport, but when they left, my ipad left too. SO disappointed and let down. I thought I had found a good company to use considering that they were just doing a partial move. the rate was great, they were 3 hours late though because we said 3:00 and the got there at 6:10. I'm so annoyed at the amount of time I've wasted with this whole ordeal. Would have been easier to just junk the stuff they moved than to deal with the loss of my favorite toy!!! Extremely tacky and unprofessional. And filing a claim is a joke with them. Pros: null Cons: null more

Great Movers 9/4/2011

We just moved into our new place yesterday and hired Move for Cheap to handle the move. Nick and Jason were extremely courteous, efficient, and careful with my belongings. In addition, they worked really well with my pets and treated them with respect. They provided blankets, wrapped my furniture for protection, and tied down my belongings so they wouldn't break. The only negative is that the moving truck was a little ragged. It's front headlight was broken out and the floor of the truck was breaking in some places but it wasn't enough of a problem to worry about. It performed well for our short city move. I highly recommend this company. more

The guys were on time, very nice, and HARD workers. They wrapped everything in plastic with moving blankets. One of the guys even moved a love seat down 3 flights of stairs alone. more

The gentlemen that moved me were pleasant young men, with a great work ethic. They showed up ahead of schedule and never stopped working, which was great because I went with their cheap hourly rate. I would recommend Move For Cheap. My daughter is buying her first house and we plan on using them again in the future. Pros: Affordable, with exceptional service Cons: none more

Broken Promises...Talked a GreatGame 5/10/2010

Initially I thought they were going come through because the gentlemen who took my request talked such a great game and assured me they will deliver great service. However I am totally dissatified due to the fact they overbooked their appointments and attemted to sub random people to assist me with my move. And to top it off, they were more than an hour late. more

Great company with GREAT EMPLOYEES! My movers-Thomas, Alex, and Jason found nearly $600 dollars, covered in dust, behind my daughters desk. This is more than my total moving cost was. We don't even know when she lost it. You don't find people like this anymore. I definitely recommend these movers. I am making sure this deed does not go unnoticed. I am writing about this everywhere for everyone to know. Pros: GREAT GROUP OF GUYS. great service Cons: none more

good moving company 8/27/2009

These guys worked like clockwork...They were so on the same page I had no worries 20 minutes into the move. I had allot of boxes on the 3rd floor, and the two movers worked so well as a team it cut the labor in half. I think I don't have to hire a moving company again after watching these guys, they made it look so easy I think I can do it lol. move for cheap made my my move so smooth from a 2nd floor to a 3rd floor. alex and riley were friendly and took great care for all my furniture. thanks for everything. will use yall again next time. more

Got the job done 3/8/2008

I have mixed feelings about the service of Move For Cheap. They give you a courtesy call the day before the move for confirmation. The crew arrived on time and went straight to work. You have to wrap anything you want protected because they will not take the time to do it, for example, my armoire got some surface damage because they did not use a blanket to transport it. Also, when I got the quote over the phone I was told that washer/dryer connections were part of the move but it was a different story when the movers were on site, $50 dollars extra to hook up both appliances, rip-off. Sleeper sofas are an additional $25 which is somewhat understandable. All in all they got the job done quickly but remember to protect your items ahead of time and do your own connections. Pros: Early, courtesy call, and quick Cons: Poor handling of property and extra fees more
