""Fantastic"" foods and services - Elaine and Sean are amazing 7/27/2011

I've never been more pampered and received such ""fantastic"" food and services as I have from Movable Feast. Elaine and Sean are amazing. I look forward to any chamber meetings or events that Movable Feast is catering. Love the food, love the cooks. Below is a thank you note to Elaine when my husband was in treatment for cancer. Movable Feast provided our evening meals. ""We know you were hired to prepare one week's worth of meals for us, but no one could have paid you enough to prepare them with the love and kindness you put into each one. Each meal was delicious beyond words! Each evening we had time to rest and enjoy our time together. We can not tell you how much that meant to us. Thank you seems so small for the large act of love and kindness you gave."" Nancy Myers more

Elaine and her staff are ""Fantastic"" 7/27/2011

Just a brief note to ""Thank"" Elaine and her staff for the ""Fantastic"" job preformed at our annual ""2010 Puttin' on the Dog/Cat Gala"" held at the Kennesaw Mansion. Every detail and prior discussions concerning our catered event was met with a superior ending... All of our 250 guest were totally taken away with the top quality array of tasty food that was prepared and served. Everything was delicious and arranged to perfection. ""Thank You' for a very successful job well done. We could not have done it without you... Sandra Cherry, President of the Humane Society of Sumner County P.S. We are dedicated to our customers 7/26/2011

Movable Feast is dedicated to our customers and we are disappointed to receive negative comments such as those from IngridRansom. We take great pride in our wedding catering services. We did provide 4 hours of bar service from 5:30-9:30 but since the contract stated 6-10, we refunded the half hour to the client. We supplied a total of 506 (glass goblets, wine glasses, 9 oz & 16 oz plastic cups) that were all used by the 81 guests necessitating a trip to get more cups. We did bus and clean all the tables at 9:30 p.m. when the reception concluded and carried 7 full 40-gallon bags of trash to the dumpster. We did provide 2 sets of cake cutters, but the bartender who cut the cake, grabbed the slicing knife instead. It is unfortunate that the wedding planner did not coordinate the events of the evening so there was no discrepancy. Movable Feast's staff is always courteous and respectful and regrets that there were any misunderstandings with the. Ransom's wedding.... Elaine O'Day more

Great Food and Wonderful Caterer 7/20/2011

I have been to many events and parties that Movable Feast Inc, owned by Elaine O'Day, has catered. I have always enjoyed the food and had a great time. She always does a great job setting a theme at the events I have attended. If you have a problem with Elaine or her staff you just must be hard to get a long with! You will never go home hungry at one of her functions. more

The only problem with my wedding-Movable Feast 7/5/2011

Unfortunately, Movable Feast was the only negative part of the day, and all brides should be aware! Several issues occurred such as, they closed the bar at 8:30pm, when we had contracted and paid till 10pm (when the wedding was over), they ran out of drinking cups and would not replenish their supply, so guests were thirsty, they did not pack up a to go box of food for my husband and I as promised, did not provide toasting flutes, and cake cutter as promised (they gave us a butcher knife to cut the cake with), and left my friends and family to throw away the garbage, and clean the house. Thankfully my friends and family stepped up to the plate, and I believe everything that was required for clean up was completed. Elaine was also rude to my family when they questioned the bar closing so early. It is unfortunate, because she was very pleasant to me when we met, was be best price I could find, and said she would take care of us. more

Wonderful food & service! 2/26/2011

We were at an event that was catered by Movable Feast a couple of weeks ago. The food was wonderful! The owner & her son were extremely nice and helpful. The presentation was beautiful. Loved it! more

Avoid this caterer! 9/29/2007

The owner of Movable Feast Inc. is extremely rude and unprofessional. At a wedding for a close friend, I made the wedding cake and groom's cake as one of my gifts to the bride. Movable Feast was to supply the plates and forks for the cakes as part of their service that they were being paid for by the bride's parents. Well, as I started to cut the wedding cake, there are NO plates. I asked my 22 year old daughter to ask for some plates. The owner of Movable Feast yelled at her that they were on the table. The owner rudely stated that she had put them on the table herself. Finally, she comes over to the table and sees for her ""rude"" self that indeed there are NO plates. Huffing and puffing she gives us some plates. Later, as we are in the middle of serving 300+ people wedding cake, we run out of forks. Once again my daughter goes to ask for some forks. Big mistake! The owner shouts at her that they are on the table! By this time, I've had enough. Afterall, I am an invited guest at this wedding. I approach the owner and ask if there is a problem. I realize that she thinks that I have stepped onto her toes by doing the cakes for this reception! I explain to her that I do not have a catering business. I did these cakes as a gift to the bride. To top it all off, while I was still cutting cake and people were still going through the buffet line, the owner starts packing up and closing down the buffet line. The bride's father stated that he had NEVER seen anyone do this before. (Of course, she had her money.) Think long and hard before giving your money to Movable Feast Inc. Pros: Employees were pleasant. Cons: Owner is rude, disrespectful, and lacks social skills. more
