Where Utah Valley Regional Medical Center is always buzzing in the baby department, Payson's Mountain View Hospital offers a calmer experience. When my doctor gave us the choice of locations for having our daughter, we both chose UVRM because we live closer to it. However, when I had false labor, we rushed down to UVRM only to be set up in a backroom somewhere since all their other rooms were in use. When we chose to be induced, we were told we would have to wait for an opening at UVRMC, so we elected to head down to Payson. It was one of the best decisions we could have made. Our child was the only one born in the hospital that afternoon, so the nurses were very attentive, patient, and warm. There was a real sense of calm in that wing of the hospital and we felt like one in a million instead of one of a million experiencing a miracle that day.
