I love the Mountain People's Market/Co-op. They have an amazing selection of bulk items (flours, seeds, nuts, etc.) that you cannot get at any grocery store around here. They also have a nice selection of coffee, tea, organic, free range, & local items. Some things do cost a bit more, but it's worth it for the quality. Plus I prefer to buy local. Their parking lot is small, so I usually park in the parking garage on Don Knotts Blvd, the lot on the corner of Fayette & Chestnut St, or on University Ave. more

Organic foods 8/19/2005

Mountain people's has very little parking and it's in a bad location. It also has a vegetarian restaurant attached to it. The store is small but has a decent selection. The food is always fresh. The employees are nice enough. The food is expensive, but most organic foods are. more

Healthy food, expensive 8/18/2005

They have a decent selection of food that is very healthy. It's all natural stuff and the prices are slightly high. The parking is really bad but the store is decent. The sales people are friendly enough. The store is small and can be packed at times. more
