Excellent doctors and physician assistants 12/30/2008

I've recommended this place to many friends. I've not experienced the long waits or problems with the staff not returning calls, etc... that someone mentioned. The thing that makes these guys better than others I've used is that they spend time with the patient, they don't rush your through and push you out the door after you've paid them. They spend time with you, talk to you, make you feel they actually care about your medical concerns. Its been refreshing to know doctors like this exist, and I've been very happy using them. Nice people, TERRIBLE service 9/10/2008

Dr. Johnson is great, but trying to get anything done with Mountain Peaks is EXTREMELY frustrating. If you need a prescription refill be prepared to call, and call, and wait, and call again. In my experience it's not uncommon to have to wait more than a week to get a refill. Often you can't get ahold of the front desk, and you can almost NEVER get ahold of the physician's assistants. I like the people, they are just way too busy and it's very frustrating. Pros: The doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable Cons: Very inconvenient, refills take FOREVER, appointments are scheduled MONTHS out. more

Blake Rapier is the coolest doctor ever 8/30/2008

He's an awsome doctor and really knows alot about me and remembers my conversations from other visits. He doen'st have to look at the chart to remember who i am. He's an awsome doctor who knows alot about how a patient is feeling and actually helps them through things. I couldn't find a doctor who would listen to my symthons and actually help me. Dr blake actually listened to what i'm feeling and helps with what ever he can do! thank you again dr blake I apppreciate everything you do for me. Best Family Practice 7/14/2008

I love the Providers at Mountain Peaks Family Practice. Rob Durrans MD, is kind. Josh Arnold PA, is nice and funny. Blake Rapier PA, is very smart and compassionate. They are hard to get into but well worth the wait. They are all thorough and very good at what they do. They seem to be well versed in all aspects of Medicine. Doctor Johnson is the BEST doctor in the valley 5/16/2008

We've been seeing Dr. J for over six years now, and every time we see him he treats us like we are old friends. He takes such good care of my kids - his manner is always gentle and kind. He doesn't get freaked out by non-mainstream parerenting or decisions that go against the medical grain. The only problem is that he is impossible to see for last-minute appointments. However, Blake Rapier, the PA who replaced the irreplaceable Jef Esquerra, fills in nicely for those ""my kid is sick TODAY"" moments. Pros: Friendly, excellent bedside manner, not preachy Cons: Booked WAY out. You'll probably never see Dr. J when you're sick. more

Make appointments way ahead of time for Dr. Johnson 2/15/2008

We have had Dr. Johnson as a doctor whenever we've lived in the area, and he is fantastic. My only complaint/concern is that his appointments are booked up months ahead of time, so if you have a bad flu or something more immediate, you're not going to get to see him. Jef Esquerra is amazing but he has moved down to Arizona. I have begun to see another doctor for more immediate issues, and schedule with Dr. Johnson to have physicals, well baby checks, etc. Pros: Johnson has terrific ""bedside manner,"" remembers your name & issues Cons: Other staff just OK, hard to get in to see Johnson in timely manner more

Best Practice!! 9/24/2007

I love the crew at Mountain Peaks! Vaughn Johnson is amazing and so kind. I love having him as my family practitioner. When I have to get in right away nobody can beat seeing Jef. They are truly the best of the best!! A+++++ Pros: Friendly, caring, always on top of everything Cons: The front desk staff and office manager are not that great, but will put up with to work with Jef and Vaughn more
