Mountain Brook Apartments

When we moved in, there was so much mold in the bathroom we had to re-grout the bathtub ourselves. It took us 2 months to get a new screen. They don't spray for pests. We treat our patio and around the doors, but there are still a disgustingly large amount of cockroaches and spiders in the apartment. One drawer in our kitchen is constantly broken. Our AC was working inefficiently at the beginning of one summer. The next summer it was in the high 90s all June and it took us 3 weeks to get the AC fixed. Pretty much every problem we encountered, we either had to fix ourselves or wait unnecessarily long time to get fixed. As soon as our lease is up, we're moving somewhere else. first nothing hardly worked in the apt.Like the other tennants .Maint has been notified of poblems repeatedly including the rodents that ran through the apartment .The staff is rude,unreasonable,and coniving. more

I paid my rent on time every time. and when it was time to move out i did, in 14 straighthours. Melissa had told me that we needed to be out because she had people moving in. I did my notification letter in octob er and was out by jan 31. I paid january rent and enev cleaned the apt from top to bottom, even though they never once fixed anything that broke or cleaned the hallway or replaced fire extingueshers and so on.......... Now im recieving a bill for 1090 dollars for past due rent, and damage, and cleaning!!!!! Im a good person and i dont deserve this,. im writing this because nobody else deserves to be treated as i was either. Upon moving in, the very first night, my shower broke. I called maintenance and to my unpleasant surprise, was advised that this was not an emergency and they wouldn't come and fix it. It was only after I advised (numerous times) that I had just moved in (only to be treated like an inconvenience), did they finally send someone to fix it. The apartments smell and are full of pests. Mold is growing uncontrollably. The siding on the buildings is falling off in place. Office staff is rude. Maintenance will not fix problems with the apartment. The carpet is filthy. You would be better off staying in the projects. Cons: Everything more
