When I first went to Karey at Mountain Air, i had just received the worst haircut and color from another local salon. In desperation I called around and Karey was so friendly, sympathetic and confident that I chose her. Wow! She fixed the cut and color (scheduled me in on a busy day for her) and my hair looked great! I have since gone to Mountain Air and absolutely love the way I look every time. I trust Karey completely...she has done ""hair overs"" for me and always knows what will look good on me. I know she is redecorating the place but I still like the warm, cozy hometown feeling that Mountain Air exudes. Love the place....love the owner! more

I have been only going to this salon for about 3 years and it has been the only one I have gone to. They always greet me when I walk in and make you feel like home when you are there. I have to admit the place does need some updating but dont let that take away from the fact that you get a good haircut and style. The new owner Karey is in the process of remodeling the shop but as you all know it takes time and money. Dont let this one slip you by if you want to look your best. more

I walked in to this salon for a simple shampoo, cut and blowdry. The salon itself was dingy and dirty, I noticed some mold on the floors, yet stayed anyway. Thank goodness Jessica was my stylist, as she made me comfortable and left me feeling pampered in every way! Not only was the cut perfect, she also styled, and curled my hair at no additional charge. I walked out feeling like a QUEEN. I have called since to book an appointment with her, and learned she has gone to Stellar Styles in Palmer Lake. I will be following her there, and I am sure it is much nicer, and cleaner, and friendlier than Mountain Air. The 2 stars is for Mountain Air, 5***** for Jessica!! Thank you! more

i was referred by a good friend of mine, i was more of a walk-in. i understand they have new owners and the place is well organized, good vibe and friendly stylist had my first haircut from a gal named Jessika. the cut was ok friendly gal but unfortunately she reeks of cigarettes and alcohol, i mean do those things myself but from a customers perspective it is un-professional and unsanitary, especially when she talks about her personal life that are too sensitive even for me. anyways few weeks later came back to the salon gave it another try and i met the owner Karey she gave me exceptional haircut best i ever had i must say, she is very friendly and courteous, all of the gals are! and ill definitively recommend Mtn Air Salon to my friends. more

I have been going to Mt air for over 15 years. After returning after 5 years I discovered there were new owners. I was following my exceptional hair dresser Jessica Tandy. After more than 6 times I have been there the owners daughter who runs the salon has never greeted me, said hello, or even acknowledged me as a customer. She comes accross very arrogant with poor customer interaction skills and not realizing how valuable the customers are. The owner has come in several times and does not acknowledge the customers either. Unless you have a favorite stylist at Mt. AIr I would find another salon there are a dozen in monument I would recommend Luna Salon.Or see Jessica my hair dresser specifically she is wonderful and takes care of my very meticulous needs. more
