Whether or not you love hanging out in cemeteries, the Mount Auburn Cemetary is a relaxing place to wander on a Sunday afternoon. Beautifully barren in winter, lush with plants and trees in warmer months, here you can discover it's not so bad to hang out with the dead. There are two ponds (one by Mary Baker Eddy's conspicuous tomb) with benches where you can rest, as well as other benches throughout. No picnicking, no dogwalking, and pay attention to the parking regulations. At the welcome center near the front gates you can get a map and play Find the Famous Person's Grave. Always restful.
