Mother India Restaurant

Coming from south east asian country, I had an easy access and very much experienced with spicy and exotic gastronomic experience. This is my 2 cents on Mother India Restaurant, this restaurant offers beyond delectable foods. They serve delicious pakora, briyani and my favorite, chicken tikka masala. However, what is very much disappointing is the service they offer. The lady works as a server and cashier did not smile at all, let alone gather our feed back for their food. It's not like we wanted sort of validation, but a little friendly gesture won't kill you and certainly will match the nice foods that you guys have. This would certainly be a minus point...which is very MAJOR because I would recommend people for your food...but your service is below par.... and eating at a restaurant is not just just get your food and eat it, but rather the whole experience that counts...and yes lady...if you read this...you know why I never tip you...coz you grab my money and and never say thank you....heck...if there's a better restaurant...I would never go to Mother India...but this is Morgantown, I resort to what's available.. more

Never put yourself through the Mother india experience. Horrible Indian food. Rude waiters, don't care about you attitude. Open air buffet that has hair in the food. After going there a friend told me once found a fingernail in the food he ordered from the kitchen so both buffet and kitchen ordering is bad! Don't risk your health or your sanity. A student who worked there once told me they use their bear dirty hands to handle food in the back - no plastic gloves here - and don't even wash their hands after using the bathroom. It's just like india folks. Pros: they'll eventually be closed by the health department. Cons: Hair and Fingernails in Food. Rude waiters more
