Having grown up a red meat loving California boy and going to college in Central Texas where my love for all things steak was only magnified it should come as no surprise that I am a Morton's fan. But most of us know the level that Morton's is at and also know the prices Morton's can ask for a night in its hallowed halls.
But what many do no know is that some Morton's have a magical offering called ""Power Hour"" in which a dozen of the restaurant's top martinis, beers and wines are on sale for $6, as well as, some of the restaurant's top selling appetizers. Not to mention a pretty sweet deal of $15 for their famed burger and fries ( a tasty lunch staple for any in the power lunch meeting business world).
All in all just because we are in the midst of a recession doesn't mean we can find ways to sneak some luxury back in to our lives... even if in different forms than before. So skip the typical happy hour next week and join the leagues in DC who are are stuck in suits all day and swing by Morton's for a martini and some apps and break the dive bar cycle for a bit.
Pros: Mortons Power Hour(s)
Cons: Non power hour prices
