Gone Down Hill 12/17/2008

We have had two bad experiences in a row. Shrimp that was warm, not ""just"" cooked, mashed potatoes that were almost liquid, long delays in getting the main course and slow response to take drink orders. The restaurant is somewhat noisy and does not have that warm, rich appeal. Entrance to the restaurant is poor, feels like you are going into a dingy office building. Years ago Morton's was my favorite steakhouse but no longer. At their prices, food and service should be much better. This particular location is well past its prime and others must agree ... we got reservations on a Saturday night during the holiday season that same day. Pros: Steak was good (but not great) Cons: Kitchen weak, poor coordination and timing; ambience poor; noisy more

Wonderful Experience 6/26/2008

My husband and I had a rare night without our children so decided to go to Morton's for dinner. We had a wonderful experience. The food was great and we had tons of leftovers to take home. Our server recommended that we try the new carrot cake, which was delicious. Although, nothing beats their hot chocolate cake. We'll definitely be back. Pros: Food, waitstaff Cons: location not the easiest to find more

Best Filet 4/16/2007

Not much you can say than an explosion of flavor in your mouth. The steaks are absolutely fantastic and the Creamed Spinach is awesome. You definitely pay but you know that going in. The wine list is very extensive with a bottle for what ever fits your fancy. Great dinning experience..... Pros: Filet and spinach Cons: Reservation availability more

WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED 1/28/2007

Being a chain steakhouse that has a good reputation, I was stunned by the awful service. Waitstaff was slow, dismissive and absurdly rude. Food was good, but the experience was ruined by the waiter. I've been to other Morton's and have enjoyed them, so I think it's just the Baltimore franchise. Pros: good steak Cons: WORST SERVICE IN HISTORY more

Should Have Gone SomeWhere Else 8/26/2006

We waited a half hour before someone came to take our order & then it was another half hour before we received our food. I expected better service from an expensive restaurant. The steak was tender but not very flavorful. A server (not ours) kept my glass filled with soda during the wait & this same server brought us a complimentary dessert for our long wait. Our server never apologized. Pros: chocolate cake with fudge center Cons: long wait, expense & loud atmosphere more

Best steak around 8/20/2005

i enjoyed every thing but it is a little expensive Pros: great food, great service, good parking Cons: expensive more

Best steaks and martinis in Baltimore! 6/5/2005

Morton's has by far the best steaks in Baltimore, not to metion their incredible crab cakes and more. Don't forget to try the Godiva dessert or the apple pie both of which are worth every bite! Splurge for a ""mortini"", try the Appletini. The bar is a great place before an Orioles game. This is a hot spot for a romantic date. Worth every penny! Pros: food, valet, cool bar Cons: none, really! more

Fall in Love! 3/8/2005

This is the place to go if you wish to have a phenomenal dining experience! The service is top-notch and the steak is outstanding. The visual menu is a bit different, but it beats a paper menu. Everything was great about this restaurant from the waiter to the bathrooms. Don't forget to order the Godiva dessert 30 minutes in advance as they make it fresh for you or you'll wish you did (It's one for the record books). Pros: Friendly, Excellent food, Quiet Atmosphere Cons: A bit pricey more

This is a great place! 6/16/2004

Yes it is expensive, but we enjoy eating here. Great service, great food and a very nice wine list with something for everyone. I love that you can order a lobster and a steak and they will split it and put on two plates for you. And, you can do the same with the salads because they are HUGE!! The staff will go out of their way to make sure that you are happy. Pros: Location, Valet, Wine List Cons: , Very expensive more

I LOVE MORTON'S 1/13/2004

What a great experience! The food was wonderful, and the waiters were very attenive and knowledgeable. They bring out a cart and give you the verbal menu; it was awesome. Also the Godiva chocolate cake is to die for! I recommend it for anyone that wants a nice, pleasant dining experience. Pros: Ambiance, Waiters, Dessert Cons: Crowded, Entrance more

Spectacular food / Snobbish servers 2/4/2003

The food was wonderful. The outside attendants were friendly, warm and courteous. Servers inside however were rather snobbish and bordered on rude which certainly hindered our enjoyment of our meal. Pros: Great parking service, Comfortable setting Cons: Long wait for dinner, Uncomfortable servers more

Absolute best steaks in Balt! 1/13/2003

Consistently the best steakhouse in Baltimore. Not inexpensive but you definitely get your money's worth! Also, very attentive service. One never leaves feeling like you've been ""ripped off"" or lured into a ""tourist trap"" even though it's located downtown near the Inner Harbor. Entrance needs to be reworked however. Pros: good service, good food Cons: smokey bar more

Always a definite great time and great steak! You can't go wrong with choosing Morton's, unlike some of the other chain steakhouses. more

The Only Place Worth Going To 7/25/2002

While I normally like finding good deals, there are times when I just need a good meal. In Baltimore that means Morton's. I've been to just about every steak restaurant in Baltimore and have realized that there is only one worth going to. The atmosphere is great. The staff goes beyond friendly; they'll leave you alone if you prefer, but otherwise they'll stop by, make sure all is well, and joke with you if you're so inclined. Not true at those other high-end steak houses. Mostly, though, the food is excellent. Everything is just right. Whether your taste is steak, lobster, or fish, they get it perfect. The sides are great, and the desserts, oh my, the desserts are unbelievable. Pros: Good food, Good bar, Valet more
