Morning Call is Metairie's own unique spin on Cafe du Monde, set in a run-down strip mall next to a surly magazine stand on prime ""Met'ry"" real estate a nutria scamper away from ""Fat City."" There's no Decatur Street patio dining here, but the people-watching opportunities are exceptional, especially as the night winds on into morning. The less-is-all decor is a bit run-down in good lighting, but that only adds to the Call's hole-in-the-wall charm. It's a great place to cap a night of touring local watering holes, with fresh, sugary beignets perfect for settling the stomach.
Pros: Great atmosphere
Cons: Service inconsistent
