Mori's is one of the few japanese restaurants set in Tallahassee. Although it isn't as big and flashy as other Japanese restaurants (osaka), it holds its own. The location of the restaurant is near one of the few malls in Tallahassee and is located in the longtime fixture at Sugar Creek Plaza on upper North Monroe, and not another sushi bar closer than Killearn. And nothing cramped about the horseshoe sushi bar, either. It's probably the most commodious in town. Mori does a dependable job with sushi. Consistently fresh, above average in quality, its more exotic ingredients - baby octopus, surf clam, smelt roe - occur in the 21 two-piece nigiri rice canapes, priced from $3.50 for plain omelet to $6.50 for sea-urchin toppers. More familiar sushi rolls, 26 of them, range from $3.95 for lowly cucumber to $8.95 for a mega-ingredient New Tallahassee Roll.
