they say.but since my husband had a smuggling charge in 1986 for giving a ride to some illegal aliens,these knew charges where much more seriouse than we thought.know here is the distubing part of my situation.when i spoke with mr.baker and informed him of my husbands reason for admiting to the accusations and told him that my nephew was willing to come forward and take respnsability for his actions,i got the impression that he did not believe it.my husband is no saint he has been in trouble with the law before for drugs.however ,he has not been in trouble since 1990 .he has been clean for 13 years ..when i visited mybefore my husbands hearing ,mr.baker consulted with my husband and did not mention anything about his innocence .my husband asked what his chances were and mr.baker replied not good.but then advised him to fight it any way and stay incarserated god knows how long,and probably be deported any way.the judge asked my husband if he was sure of his plead and without hesitation said yes.because he felt he didnt have a chance .i was under the impression that attourneys were supposed to represent thier clients.my husband would have been better off representing himself.what do i do now my husband has been depoted i have no job two children and an 87 year old man and 70 year old woman who depend me,and were out $3,500.00 husband at the cca facility ,he decided to plead not guilty.however ,on jan. 4 ,2007 my husband went to his paliminary
