Been going to Moores since '88 all 3 locations.. Great memories when on Southern! (nice little tackle shop next door too..) Nowadays, they are usually my first choice, mainly to save my time, but they do have a great selection too.. a couple bucks more, but you save 3 hours going back and fourth to town. Another big reason is, if you don't support your local vendor, they will be gone.. I have been buying my chlorine, Morton green salt, plus much more for all my projects... also recently bought a nice steel 182.00 wheelbarrow. Cashiers, general store help always great and polite.. \r

Last weekend, I bought about 80.00 of materials, including gray conduit, GFI, fittings. Mgr helped me find the fittings.. He carried the 8 10' lengths to the back of the store.. I paid and went back to load everything up.. asked the mgr for a bit of twine to secure my topper.. he snapped: here!! little 2' piece of lawnmower pull cord tossed to me!! Came back and asked again.. He shouted: Dude!! how much you want!! As he produced a roll of twine and started jerking many feet of it off the roll.... I asked him if trying to secure items just purchase from his store was unreasonable..??? Getting ready to pull away.. I had to come back and ask him.. ""are you the owner?"".. ""no the mgr"".. told me some store history.. I said nothing.. I then left.. I might go back for small hardware purchases that are a benefit to me, but that's it.. I know people have bad days, but I have basically been treated the same on quite a few occasions.. (same person). There is no excuse for rudeness.. especially when competing against the big Two, Home Depot and Lowes.. repeat, long time customers should be valued.
