The Moore family started the sawmill and lumber business about 1875. The first two generations operated it as a portable sawmill using horses in the wood to skid logs and a stem boiler and steam engine to run the sawmill. The steam facility was finally today. Ivan Moore operated two portable sawmills in addition to the steam mill until 1969. The portable sawmills were moved from job site to job site because it was easier to bring the sawmill to the forest rather than bring the logs to the sawmill. Today there are 2 buildings. The first is the sawmill. The second, a storage building, includes a modern flooring and planning shop and is dedicated to warehousing kiln dried lumber and associated flooring products. In 1996 a dehumification kiln was set. bAir Dried Pine/b * 1x6,8,10-8',10',12' - 1.00 BF * 14',16; - 1.20 BF * 1x12 - 1.25 BF * Short Board Pine - 0.65 BF bHemlock/b * 2x4's - 0.85 BF * 2x6's-8,10,12 - 1.00 BF * 2x6,-14,16 - 1.00 BF * 2x8,2x10's - 1.00 BF * Thresholds,(Transitions) Made to Order * Channel Rustic,Novelty Siding and Tongue & Groove Patterns Available. * Call for a Quote bTree Stakes: 2x2 Pointed/b * 2' - 0.70 * 3' - 1.00 * 4' - 1.25 * 5' - 1.85 * 6' - 2.25 * 8' - Pressure Treated - 80.00 * Lamp Post with Arm - 80.00 * Kindling Wood by the Bundle - 8.00 * Sawdust by the Bag - 1.00 * Sawdust by the Bucket - 5.00 * Shavings by the Bag - 2.00 bKiln Dried Lumber/b Pine: * Up to 10" Width - 1.50 BF *
