this is a great dentist and a good man. if you have ppo insurance you should know your benefits. i have insurance and know what my plan is....why don't you. i used to work in a dental office (not his) and got so tired of everyone blaming other people for their own stupidity. it is not a dentists job to know your benefits! they are yours, not his. ""Accepting"" an insurance and being ""in network"" are two different things. i suggest you ask future people you see if they are ""in network"" or not. I went to get my front teeth fixed as I had them broken out in a pick up basketball game. They said they could get me in quick but I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment. Finally went in to stop the pain but all they had was aspirin. I went in to get my crowns after waiting close to two months and when I had them in the dentist came in and took one look at my teeth and laughed to his assistant. I ended up waiting about 3 months to get the next set of teeth and even then they didn't fit my mouth and the shade was way dark. I spent about $2,000.00 dollars and that was up and beyond what my insurance company paid. I am still not satisfied with my front teeth and they will not refund my money. Took my kids to this office after asking about and confirming that they took my type of insurance. Had the initial x-rays done and after the appt. asked when I could set up another appt. to have some cavities filled and other procedures done. That is when they told me that they didn't accept my insurance any longer. What? They charged me 400 dollars that insurance would've covered but I had to pay out of my pocket. I would have never taken my children there in the first place if I would have know that I would be charged 400 dollars. That is why I have insurance. They told me that was ''standard procedure'' even though it was their mistake. No sorry whatsoever! No reduction in their ''standard procedure'' even if they were wrong and it was their mistake to begin with. I would not recommend this office at all because of their incompetance.
