Only go there if you want to be lied and conned by manager Dawn DeMarco. Installs unnecessary parts and refuses to return old parts to check if new parts actually needed. Hourly incompetant labor charge higher than most reputable dealers. Slick operator who knows all the angles to use on credit card companies when you try to dispute the charges. Beware of the outward pleasant, honest first impression of her when in reality it's all about how much money they can get from you for extremely inferior work. Don't walk away. Run!!! more

Last time I was in Phoenix, I needed a water pump and timing belt for my Honda Accord. Unfortunately, I had the work done by a mechanic I didn't know wasn't certified (Mike Allen of Lifetime Auto). After the repair, the car was running horribly. \r \r This time, I was staying in Phoenix with a friend and was on my way to Oklahoma. I decided to get my oil changed and my car checked out by Moon Valley Auto care. I asked them to do an inspection.\r \r As I suspected, there were some problems, the major one being that the timing belt was improperly installed. Moon Valley suggested I take it back to the original mechanic since I'd already paid for that repair. The original mechanic insisted that wasn't the problem. He wanted yet more money to do a tune-up and ""if"" that didn't solve the problem, he'd ""look at"" the timing belt. \r \r I didn't trust the original mechanic. He was supposed to have my car for 24 hours, but had it for five days. He didn't do the work properly and then when a certified mechanic told him that, he didn't believe them. I didn't want to give this guy any more of my money.\r \r Moon Valley performed an oil change, replaced my oil valve cover gasket, the alternator and power steering belts, and they did the timing belt job the way it should have been done in the first place. When I drove away, the car was running perfectly. \r \r They also gave me a list of other repairs and maintenance I will need in the near future, telling me which ones were most important and which could probably wait.\r \r Dawn and Juan did a fantastic job and left me feeling safe with the work done, as well as more knowledgeable about what other repairs my car will need.\r \r The prices were reasonable, especially since the job was done right. For instance, I paid the other mechanic $400 for a bad timing belt repair. Moon Valley charged me just a little over $400 and the repair was done properly. They had my car ready when they said they would, and they called me with updates when needed.\r \r I would highly recommend Moon Valley and when I return to Phoenix I will definitely have them do any needed repairs. more

Just like all car owners my car broke down. I know a bit about cars but couldn't figure it out. A friend referred me to M.V.M.C.. They where able to find and fix the problem and also let me know that I also had a couple of others problems that needed to be fixed soon and thats what I LOVE. I prefer to spend a little now and not pay a lot later along with not having my car brake down in this summer heat with my family in it. Talking and listening to them, this family definitely has great knowledge and experience with all vehicles. more

I would suggest to stay away from this shop. Their estimates are a lot more than what other shops had quoted. When I asked to review the estimate they got really short with me. I knew something was fishy when they told me it would be an additional $70 for the coolant. I don't trust this shop and it was clear that customer service is not a priority. more

I've been taking my cars here for about 7 years. I've always been treated fairly, and they've done good work. On the very few instances where mistakes have been made, they've been quick to make it right. This is a family run business, and they get to know their regulars. Pros: Staff knowledge and quality of work Cons: Can be hard to park, no waiting are to speak of more

Not a business you want to take your vehicle to! Watch out for the upsale, overpriced, may take short cuts, questionable work, and they will not take responsiblity for their actions. I had to take my car to another shop to get it fixed correctly! more

The staff is rude. Pressure to get unnecessary repairs. Insult customers who question their estimate, or do not want to have all the recommended service done. Put the most expensive jobs first and make custumers with smaller repairs wait longer. Send customers who had made an appointment away saying that they are busy. Do not meet the schedule.
