I have been here as part of a meeting group and as an indivicual. The service has always been excellent and the food is great. A nice place to go for a quiet dinner with friends or for a business meeting. more

Not GREAT 7/31/2005

Although my parents love this place, I wasn't really impressed. The bisque was horrible and the other food was so-so. The restaurant tables are a little crowded and the service was lacking. I did enjoy the view, though. I don't think I'll return. more

Nice hidden restaurant 6/22/2005

Has a view of the ferry! Great rolls and cinnamon rolls. Has fried alligator as an appetizer. The food was phenomenal. The prices were a little high and the service was mediocre, but I would come back for sure. more

The Best in Houston 5/8/2004

The food was great, you had all you could eat and then some. Even though fried it was spectacular. The stuffed crab are to die for. The rolls and bread are also great. They didn't waste their money on fancy surroundings just great seafood by the truckload. The cold boiled shrimp are my wife's favorite and you better take a book when she gets going. This is what a great restaraunt should be it's about the fod and the people. My sister comes all the way from Nashville to eat here. Maybe you should to. If you work on the channel or have business lunches on teh channel, you don't have a lot of choice and they know it. Food is good, service is crude, and the place is just plain average at best. But, at lunch you see more salesmen buying lunches that you could imagine. No competion make for good business. The prices are about $2.00-3.00 higher that they should be. Hideaway in Houston 12/12/2002

We went last week to visit the Monument and stopped in the restaurant. What a spectacular view of the ship channel and we loved the peace and quiet. Great place to watch the sun go down. Would def recommend it. Pros: Great Views, Parking, Quiet more
