While Monty's isn't much to look at to a passer-by on Woodward, don't let its location, a tiny addition to a sleazy motel, fool you. Monty's provides a full menu of breakfast and lunch meals, fresh from the grill. The cozy interior consists almost exclusively of counter stools, with a couple of tables pressing the windows. You'll notice several "Monty's" articles of clothing for sale, and a full array of photographs of patrons wearing that clothing in the far corners of the world.
Little more than a waitress and a cook, Monty's offers you that small-down experience you'll love for a diner. Their meals are gigantic, and greasy, at an excellent price. Their omelettes are among the best items on the menu, particularly the Joseph Campau. If you're yearning for huge lunch, try a Neutron Burger, layered thick with meats and toppings.
Monty's isn't a place for the dainty, and it may require an adventurous spirit before entering the establishment. Know, however, that once you enter you'll be in for a delicious and inexpensive experience that you'll praise for the rest of your life.
