After seeing Dr. McGregor for several weeks, she was not the least bit shy about handing me a paper with instructions on how to leave her a "5 star review" on various websites. Didn't think much of it, until I got a reminder from her at one of my next sessions. This alone is highly manipulative behavior and should send anyone running for the hills. When I tried to spread my visits out to every other week instead of weekly, she attempted to guilt me into a rigid weekly schedule. I understood why when I saw what she was billing my insurance company. If she was actually helpful, I might be able to look past these things, but I actually found myself leaving these appointments more frustrated and angry than I needed to be. Yes, therapy can be difficult, but I was getting zero benefit from this. I've since moved on to a wonderful therapist who is willing to work with me and actually helps.
